So the table is tight again with the Kings picking up two points after having had two washouts. Others have a few extra games in hand and this is going to get interesting. The Trinidad leg begins tomorrow and they will be hosting the Falcons, the table-toppers. Should be a good game. Rest well and join us back for the fun. See you soon!
David Wiese | Kings captain: We won the key moments. Auguste played a blinder, Seifert gave us a good start and set up the game for us. First few overs we executed the plan really well (with ball) but Shepherd came out and played a great innings. We wanted him (Thomas) to go and strike, maybe he was trying too hard. It happens. He was bowling beautifully before that. Hopefully we will come up with good plans and execute them in the next game. We were in a position to knock it off easily was because of his (Auguste) innings. Young kid but the way he played, took responsibility and that is fantastic to see. (Plans ahead) Take 10 minutes tonight, see what you can improve and move to the next game.
Imran Tahir | Warriors captain: We lost early wickets and Shepherd played a great innings. Just want to congratulate the Kings for the way they played, It was a good score. If we didn't lose early wickets, the team we had, the combo we have we could have got 240+. Wind was blowing towards one side and we didn't use it well. Dropped catches cost us as well. But you have to appreciate the Kings. It will be a big (next) game. For me every game is a big game. Don't want to take any chances.
Ackeem Auguste | PoTM: Good feeling. Thank god for the opportunity to showcase my talent and to my coaches, everybody in the team as well. Just wanted to have an impact today and back myself to do well. Just wanted to play as freely as possible and enjoy. it's been good (mood in the team). Nice to see the turnout from the fans. My family was there and it was good to have them here and the fans as well.
22:33Local Time, 02:33 GMT, 08:03 IST: They are dancing away in the stands and the celebration is going to go long into the night. Was such an electric atmosphere tonight. The talk will be about Ackeem Auguste. Came in at No. 3 tonight and stunned the Warriors. He was aggressive but not once did he play a rash shot. Sublime timing, crystal clear shot selection and the result was a treat to the eye. He recorded the fastest fifty of the season (19 balls), it gave the Kings 86 in the powerplay and he also handed Tahir a record the veteran wouldn't have wanted - conceded 19 runs in a powerplay over for the first time in his career. Seifert gave him good company in that 87-run stand after the early loss of Charles. Chase struggled for timing and the Warriors kept chipping away at the wickets but David played a vital cameo to kill the game. Eventually with time the Kings got their second win of the season.
Jediah Blades to Wiese, FOUR, full ball, crunchy drive and it beats long-off to the left. A home win for the Saint Lucia Kings. The crowd absolutely loves it and the Kings have revived their season with this win. Pretorius to Aaron Jones, out Caught by Shai Hope!! Edged and taken! Slower delivery outside off stump, Jones looks to cut, thick edge and the ball was dying on the keeper. Hope did well to dive low in time to grab that. Aaron Jones c Shai Hope b Pretorius 16(12) [4s-2]
