Sam Curran, being bought by PBKS for a record sum of 18.50 Crore, was the highlight of the mini auction held in Kochi. Cameron Green (17.5 Crore to MI), Ben Stokes (16.25 Crore to CSK), Nicholas Pooran (16 Crore to LSG) and Harry Brook (13.25 Crore to SRH) were the other 10-plus Crore buys. Mayank Agarwal was the biggest Indian buy, going to SRH for 8.25 Crore while Gujarat Titans roped in Shivam Mavi for 6 Crore, the other big Indian buy. Joe Root and Shakib Al Hasan were ignored in the initial rounds but were the last two buys, bringing to an end a day where the three top buys of this auction also happened to be the biggest buys in the history of the IPL. That also brings to an end our coverage of the IPL 2023 auction.
