It is a double round-robin tourney including three teams. Pakistan have played two and won two and should easily stake the claim for being the first to the finale. They haven't confirmed it. But one more win and they should. They have been very clinical with the bat and the ball. Asif Khan from UAE though ensured the margin of win for Pakistan was a little lesser. But a win is what counts in the end. Plenty of food for thought for the hosts. We will buzz off as well on that note. We will see you soon with more cricketing action.
Salman Ali Agha: Perfect batting effort. Last five overs in the bowling we need to work. We have been working on our death bowling. Hasan Nawaz is a generational talent. He is one for the future. He needs to keep working hard. We conceded too many in the last 5 overs. We need to do better in the next game. I want my team to play an aggressive brand of cricket.
Muhammad Waseem: Was a good game. We gave 15-20 runs extra. Asif has calibre. We were confident he will play like this. We needed someone to score 30-40 runs in the middle overs for us. I think we did well in the powerplay. But gave too many post that. We will try our best in the next game.
Saim Ayub, Player of the Match: Different players are performing in different games. Good for the team. I don't like individual awards, feel it is over-rated. It is a team game. It is all about execution. I am working on my bowling with the coach. Getting better. It is challenging in T20s. You need to believe in your thought process.
22:40 Local Time, 18:40 GMT, 00:10 IST: The chase always looked 40 runs too much for UAE but they put up a spirited show with the bat. Waseem batted well but was out run-out for 33. Asif Khan scored 77 and ensured the margin of loss was lesser for the UAE. Pakistan bowlers did well to keep a lid on the rate in the first 10 overs but that was possible as the skipper of UAE - Waseem - was out run-out after getting off to a flier. Then Asif took over the baton and batted with aggression. He managed to play some big shots and meant Pakistan didn't have an easy passage. But his heroics were never going to be enough as the requirement in the chase was a very tall order. Earlier, fifties from Saim and Hasan Nawaz helped Pakistan breach the 200 barrier.
