Saint Lucia Kings won by 7 wkts
PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Tabraiz Shamsi

The defending champions continue to impress and they have moved to the top of the table with this win. They are looking like a well-rounded side and will be tough to contain going forward. The Patriots, on the other hand, are stuck in a rut. They are not firing as a unit and that seemingly has taken a toll on them. Join us tomorrow for another high-octane contest between the Trinbago Knight Riders and the Barbados Royals from Trinidad. Until next time, goodbye and cheers!

David Wiese: That was a good win, we put in a complete performance and covered all our bases. (On Shamsi) I think it's all about we get the right match-ups, today it was perfect conditions for him, every time I have given him the ball, he has delivered. He bowled from the tough end as well with the wind there and got us two important wickets. It's always nice when you spread the workload, it helps in the later half of the tournament. Hopefully, we can keep getting in complete performances. The crowd coming out and supporting us gives us that little impetus. One more game to go here and hopefully, they will come out in numbers again and support us.

Jason Holder: We were a little short today, at the toss I felt like we wanted 200, it's a high-scoring ground and we were way short. We got a bit stuck in the middle overs, we didn't have a great powerplay as well, we lacked some runs. I just have one thing to say, it doesn't matter how many runs we have on the board, we have to go out and try and defend it. Charles and Seifert played really well upfront and took the game away. It's tough to contain such batters on a good batting surface. Very disappointed of course, we still have three games to go. We have to keep a positive mindset and give our best. We have to take one game at a time and come out and give our best.

Tabraiz Shamsi | Player of the Match: Special feeling, as a player, just want to play your part, I have been given a bit of a different role by the captain and I'm glad I'm able to play it well. The batters were on fire once again, a complete team-effort I would say. We had two washed out games we would have liked to play, we dropped some points there. It's nice to get another win in front of our home crowd. When you find your rhythm and the games come thick and fast, it's nice as well and you try to put in your best.

22:20 Local Time, 02:20 GMT, 07:50 IST: This has been a terrific run-chase from the defending champions. The Patriots were perhaps a bit under-par on a good batting surface. The surface got even better as the game progressed and the hosts capitalised. Charles and Seifert took their side off to a flier and kept finding the boundaries with ease. The former in particular was in belligerent mood and hit the ball to all parts of the ground. The Kings sailed to 72 at the end of the powerplay and the visitors were pushed further on the back foot. Charles fell against the run of play but he had already done his job. Seifert kept going and he found an able partner in Auguste. The duo stitched a 60-run partnership to almost kill the game. Both of them fell in a bid to finish the game early. But Chase and David got together, hit a few boundaries and took their side over the line with consummate ease.
