After being put in to bat, Rajasthan Royals were off to a steady start with Shane Watson and Ajinkya Rahane combining for a 52-run stand before Watson was caught behind off Angelo Mathews for 21.
Rahane and Karun Nair build on the good start by combining for a 113-run stand for the second wicket in just 11.3 overs and powered Rajasthan Royals to 189 for 2.
Delhi Daredevils were shoddy in the field and dropped three catches to go with numerous misfields.
Karun Nair scored 61 off 38 balls with the help of six boundaries and two sixes before falling to Nathan Coulter-Nile in the 19th over.
After being dropped on 32 by Gurinder Sandhu, Rahane capitalised on the chance and went on to remain unbeaten on 91 off 54 balls with the help of nine boundaries and three sixes.
In chase of 190, Delhi Daredevils lost their openers early. While Mayank Agarwal was out for 11 in the third over, Shreyas Iyer (in pic) played one on to his stumps for nine in the fifth over.
Yuvraj Singh looked in fine knock during his brief stay in the middle scoring 22 off 18 balls but he flattered to deceive and fell to a short ball, yet again, from James Faulkner.
Stuart Binny removed Angelo Mathews to break a threatening partnership between the Sri Lankan and JP Duminy to tilt the game in Rajasthan Royals' favour.
Skipper JP Duminy played a valiant knock of 56 off 39 balls but could not stop his team from succumbing to their fifth loss in nine games.
