PLAYER OF THE MATCH
That's it for this one. We will see you again soon. Bye for now.
Liam Livingstone | Player of the Match: Yeah, it's been a bit frustrating, to be honest. I felt like I was batting well the other night when I got run out. So, the hard bit's been trusting that I'm playing well and trusting that a score was around the corner. Obviously, we came in in a difficult situation and we needed to get a score to give ourselves a chance. It was pretty obvious we needed to win this game. And the Vipers, obviously, have been playing some really good cricket. So, yeah, the key was to just try and get a score, try and get as high as we could and hopefully be able to defend it. Oh, I think probably just slogging it to the leg-side is something that I've used to my advantage throughout my career. But, yeah, I was probably pretty happy with the way I played tonight. Getting to 25 off 25 and then really putting the foot down and trying to press the accelerator, which isn't always something that I can pride myself on. So, yeah, probably the most pleasing thing is being able to get a score and contribute to a win. (on his stand with Sharafu) Yeah, I think that's my job there, to be the responsible one, to be the experienced one, let him go out and play a few shots and hopefully get a few out of the middle and get us going again and try and stay in to build some partnerships further down the line. So, yeah, thankfully it came off today. Hopefully that's the start of a bit of momentum for us. (nice to get the win?) It is very nice. It's been a while. Yeah, we've played some pretty bad cricket, but the last couple of games we feel like we're turning that around. So we've seen it many times before - It's not how you start, it's how you finish.
Jason Holder | Abu Dhabi Knight Riders captain: We just finished a game, and credit to our bowlers for holding the nerve, and also credit to Livi, the way he played. I thought he set the game up quite nicely for us, gave us something to obviously defend. Tough in the end, but just really glad to get a win tonight. (on Russell) Yeah, I thought his spell was one of the game-changing spells for us. Obviously got wickets and also stemmed a few of our runs, which is key at that stage of the game. He's a world-class player. You can definitely see he's still got a lot of quality, and there's still some days left in his career. But, yeah, just happy that he stood up for us today. I'm just happy that the other bowlers around him supported him, and we were able to get over the line. (on Livingstone) I thought he paced it quite well. We obviously lost two early wickets, and it was a situation where we needed a partnership, and we got a really nice partnership between him and Sherfane. Well, him and Alishan first, and then him and Sherfane at the very end, which really got us to the total that we got to. So I think they really read the situation quite well and played it accordingly. Credit must go to each and every batter.
Lockie Ferguson | Desert Vipers captain: Not great, obviously, but look, great game of cricket, I think. It went right down to the wire. The boys will obviously be hurting, but we'll take the learnings from tonight. (was it 10 runs too many?) No, I didn't at all. I actually thought that, I mean, the Knight Riders batted really well to get to that total. I thought the boys throughout the innings bowled well, but again, they've got some world-class batters, so getting 180, I actually thought it was around par. Obviously, it was one run too many. Yeah, exactly, as you say, we learn from every game, win or lose, but obviously you tend to learn more from the losses. So I'm sure the boys will be hurting, but at the same time, we've had a lot of confidence built up over this comp, so we look forward to the next game.
22:09 Local Time, 18:09 GMT, 23:39 IST: ADKR survive this and win after 4 losses in a row. The Vipers have already qualified and suffer their first defeat of the season. They looked on track to chase it down as the openers put on 97 but after that wickets fell regularly. Still 18 was needed off the last two overs but a fantastic penultimate over from Russell in which he gave just 5 saw 13 being needed off the last. Ajay Kumar after a high full-toss which was a no-ball and which went for four, kept his head and bowled really nicely to help his side end their losing streak. Sensible batting from the Vipers would have seen them through but not to be. ADKR badly needed this win and the relief on the faces of Venky Mysore and Dwayne Bravo show how happy they are. Stay tuned for the post-match stuff...

Ajay Kumar to Dan Lawrence, no ball, FOUR, a high full-toss outside off, Dan Lawrence shuffles across and scoops to fine-leg, well wide of short fine and Phil Salt, they check for the height, Lawrence's waist is at 1.10m and the ball has passed him at 1.11m, so a no-ball, and now a free-hit coming up for Lawrence next, the call was taken by the third ump
Is this a high full-toss? Yes it is.
