PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Sharjah Warriorz are up and running with this win while the Emirates continue to blow hot and cold. We've another match today and the scene shifts to Dubai as the Capitals face the Vipers. That's coming up rightaway - change tabs and enjoy all the action. For now, cheers and bye..
Sikandar Raza | Player of the Match - We're confident going into this last, last two games, we lost out on minor things, all we needed was some right clarity. TKC and Johnson Charles, I thought played well, was a slow wicket, wasn't a big scoring pitch, we thought 170-175 was a par score and that's exactly how the game unfolded. It feels nice to contribute, but this was an important game and we needed to cross the line. Junaid kept asking as to when he could bowl, he is a true warrior, full of courage and that catch by TKC was a massive boost to our fielding. Everyone pulled up their socks from that catch onwards.
Kieron Pollard - I thought it was a good score, it was a good wicket, we got a start and it was a game which we should've finished. After soaking up some dot balls, we needed to do a lot more, the data says we're the slowest scoring team in the middle overs, we lost by 6 runs, that's something we need to look at. He's been our best bat at that position (on Nic Pooran), it's a subtle game where things happen and we shouldn't go helter-skelter in moving our batting order ahead.
17:47 Local Time, 13:47 GMT, 19:17 IST: The Sharjah Warriorz have points on the board as they secure their 1st win of #ILT20 2026, but the Emirates will ponder over this chase. They started well with the openers adding 68 runs in just over 7 overs, but the arrival of Nic Pooran stalled their momentum completely. The left-hander just couldn't get going until the very last over and he left his mates with plenty to do at the other end. The pressure told on the fabled middle-order with Banton, Pollard and Shepherd all faltering badly. Tajinder Dhillon infused some life into the chase, but injury hampered him and they were left with too much to chase in the last over. Much needed win for the Warriorz with their bowling being superb - they're now placed 5th in the table and will believe they can now string more wins going ahead.

Junaid Siddique to Pooran, SIX, 3 sixes in the over, 3 dots and SW win - length ball on off and Pooran clouts it high over mid-wicket for a maximum
19.5
Junaid Siddique to Pooran, no run, that's the game for the Warriorz, another perfect yorker outside off and Pooran can't get bat on that - unless he bowls a no-ball / a wide, SW have their 1st win of the campaign
19.4
Junaid Siddique to Pooran, no run, good come back from Siddique - comes from round the wicket and bowls a wide full-toss, he has men in the deep for the drive and Pooran doesn't take the single. 13 needed off 2 balls now
19.3
6
Junaid Siddique to Pooran, SIX, Pooran is keeping MIE in this chase - Siddique misses the yorker, offers a full-toss and it's hammered over long-off for a maximum - they now need 13 off 3 balls
19.2
Junaid Siddique to Pooran, no run, much better from Siddique - nails the yorker outside off and Pooran can only squeeze it out to cover - 19 needed off 4 balls now
19.1
6
Junaid Siddique to Pooran, SIX, thumped, back of a length and just outside off - was the attempted slower ball, but it sat up to be smacked and Pooran did exactly so, flat-bats it over the bowler's head for a maximum - 19 needed off 5 balls
Junaid Siddique [3.0-0-17-2] is back into the attack

18.6
Pathirana to Pooran, 1 run, yorker length delivery on off, Pooran squeezes it out to the off-side - 14 off the over, but they now need 25 off the final over
18.5
Pathirana to Pooran, no run, excellent delivery from Pathirana - very full and tailing away from the left-hander, Pooran can't dig it out
18.5
Pathirana to Pooran, wide, banged in short and down leg as Pooran set himself up for the paddle, called as a wide
Rashid Khan, right handed bat, comes to the crease
Dhillon is retiring hurt, he couldn't run and it's probably a better idea to send in a fresh batter - it's Rashid Khan
18.4
Pathirana to Dhillon, 1 run, nicely bowled, was very full and just outside off - driven down to long-off and Tajinder once again limps across for a single
18.4
Pathirana to Pooran, no ball, 1 run, low full-toss and it's driven down to long-on - but it's a no-ball for overstepping and Dhillon will get to face the free-hit
18.3
Pathirana to Dhillon, 1 run, yorker length delivery outside off, squeezed down to long-on and Tajinder limps across for a single
Dhillon is struggling with his running, might've had a hamstring issue
