PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Another fine game in this Women's World Cup. And South Africa have been part of three successful chases in a row - the last two being nailbiters. They have momentum on their side now. Bangladesh would be ruing thier lapses in the field. Had they caught well, they could have ended up winning this one. On that note, we end things. Do join us for more World Cup action tomorrow. Until then it's bye bye and ta, ta from everyone here at Cricbuzz Towers.
Laura Wolvaardt: That was a lot closer than we would have liked it to be. But, yeah, I'm glad we got the points in the end. Tried to stay as patient as we could (when the team was under pressure). We thought the slower bowlers were working quite well. So we tried to bowl as slow as the bowlers that we had. And just tried to be really patient, just not leave the stumps. Obviously, it was a bit frustrating that we weren't getting those wickets early. I think they applied themselves very well. And that's obviously how they batted, is really setting themselves up for a good finish. And Shorna was amazing at the end there. Again, it turns to that middle order. And you look at the likes of Kappy, when she first comes in then Tryon. And that was the first big partnership. And then Nadine de Klerk, getting us over the line. Definitely not the start we would have wanted (with the bat). I think we had a bit of a slower start, but we were just trying to be watchful. I know they have some really skillful spinners. So we were just trying to build a partnership and bat for as long as we could. But unfortunately, we lost wickets early. But the partnership between Kapp and Chloe was amazing, just to get us back into the game. And Nadine at the end there. Yeah, not ideal (talking about lack of contributions from top-order). But at least we're just getting over the line. I think there've been series and games in the past where we would just be on the losing side of these games. So I think the fact that we're just winning and that lower order is really scoring a lot of runs is good to know. So yeah, I'm sure there will be a game where our top order fires. And we've just got to keep believing that and have confidence. There were a few bowlers in this tournament that have put their hands up. Now it's Klaas as well. She probably hasn't been in this situation too much, but she just held it up. Yeah, that lap (shot from Klaas) at the end there was incredible. I think we'll be talking about that for many days to come.
Nigar Sultana: First of all, I'm really proud of the way my girls fight till the last ball. And I'm sad because they are crying in the dressing room, because they are so young. And I'm really happy the way they have given their 110 percent today. And they are very emotional right now and they keep believing in themselves that we can get this win. So I think it was a great learning (experience) for us. So it was our main plan that we don't want to give any wickets in the powerplay. And we wanted to build a partnership. So it happened. We introduced Pinky (Fargana) today. She's a very senior player and she's played very well. I think hanging in there in the middle and whoever gets into the wicket, they tried their best. But maybe we are still short 10 to 15 runs maybe. I've been talking about her (Shorna) for a long time, because she couldn't give 100% in the middle. But she was trying and I know the potential she has. So the way she batted today, it was kind of a show that we were really enjoying. And she definitely showed some character and showed how we should bat. When we took those early five wickets, it happened during the England game. Then after the 30th over, maybe we couldn't bowl in the right area. But today it was a different thing. When we were batting, we were talking with each other. And into the break, we were talking about having to hit on the right lengths. So they (the bowlers) did really well. It was a good experience, though. And I know my team is very young. But they keep growing each and every day. And how we came back after the New Zealand game is quite brilliant. I just say (message to the team) be proud of how you have done in the middle. And this is not the last game we are going to play. So we have three more games left. And we should be proud. And we should keep our heads high because of the way we played, I think we have given them a tough time in the middle. So we should keep doing that.
Chloe Tryon | Player of the Match: I've got no words, actually. Yeah, we just want to take it deep and to have Nadine at the back-end just to see what she does best, I'm happy we got over the line. It was quite familiar (talking about walking out to bat with the team in a bit of trouble), but, we're just nice and calm out there. We just wanted to stay cool. We just got a really good partnership because we felt like we needed one of those. We stayed to the back end for the last ten, and we still backed ourselves to chase eight an over in the last ten, so I'm happy that we got over the line. I think we just kept it nice and simple (talking about the partnership with Kapp). We just tried to take it deep as much as we could. I think we needed 120 or 110 balls, so we were nice and calm out there. We were just waiting for the bad balls and running really hard between the wickets, and yeah, it's quite easy on us to make it a little bit easier now, but yeah, I'm happy that we got to go into that. Pretty good (talking about both wins in Vizag). Nerve-wrecking, but, yeah, look, we've got another tough game, and it was in Colombo, and, yeah, we're going to enjoy this moment, but, yeah, big game when we get to Colombo.
22:20 Local Time, 16:50 GMT, 22:20 IST: It's that Nadine de Klerk again. She came up trumps against India the other night and tonight she has pulled it of again in a tense chase. Was always going to be tough against a Bangladesh side stacked with spinners chasing this one. Brits fell for a duck and then the set Bosch and Wolvaardt were involved in a mix-up which cost the latter her wicket. The former went in the next over and the debutant Dercksen soon after. At that stage, Bangladesh were well ahead but the cool and calm heads of Kapp and Tryon put South Africa back on track. Their stand involved good running and calculated risks. With the dew coming down quite heavily, Bangladesh failed to grip the ball and that ultimately cost them the game. Kapp got out which again opened the door for Bangladesh and when Tryon was run-out, Bangladesh really believed. But Nadine de Klerk and Masabata Klaas took their side home with some help from Bangladesh's fielders who dropped the former in the penultimate over. It eventually proved to be so costly for Bangladesh. A classic game and it's South Africa who manage to hold their nerve. Stay tuned for the post-match stuff...

Nahida Akter to de Klerk, SIX, Nadine de Klerk you Superwoman! She has done it again. Breaks Bangladeshi hearts. Gets under this high full-toss, comes forward and swipes across the line, deep mid-wicket runs to her right and sticks a hand out, but the ball lands just beyond her grasp and manages to clear the fence too. Celebrations in the South African camp while there are tears in the other camp. That is sport - elation for one and dejection for the other. After the ball went for six, Masabata Klaas celebrated wildy with de Klerk and hugged her, while Nahida Akter went down on her haunches and closed her face with her hands in disappointment. A fantastic game and South Africa win three in a row

Nahida Akter to de Klerk, no run, full on middle, de Klerk gets low to sweep, cue-ends it and it rolls back to Nahida Akter, almost sneaked through
Just 4 from 5 now.

Nahida Akter to de Klerk, FOUR, she does. She comes down the track and opens the face of the bat and gets under this tossed up delivery on middle, over backward point and point, runs away. Nahida Akter with a wry smile as she looks at Nigar Sultana
8 off 6. Some in the South African camp can't bear to watch. Nigar Sultana with a chat to Nahida. It's all on de Klerk now. The off-side field is up. Will de Klerk target that area?

Rabeya Khan to Masabata Klaas, no run, now Masabata Klaas is sent back. Great work by Pinky at cover-point. She dives to her left and saves runs, then the throw comes to Nigar Sultana but by then Klaas is back. Understandably de Klerk wants the strike and therefore sends Klaas back

Rabeya Khan to de Klerk, 1 run, dropped by Shorna at long-off. Is that the game? An easy catch and Shorna fluffs it. A juicy full-toss on the stumps, de Klerk makes room and looks for the six, lofts and doesn't get enough on it, Shorna somehow puts it down. Such a key moment in the game. Rabeya can't believe that it has not been taken
9 off 8
48.4
Rabeya Khan to Masabata Klaas, 1 run, tossed up full outside off, Masabata Klaas gets forward to find long-on with a drive
48.3
Rabeya Khan to de Klerk, 1 run, a juicy low full-toss on the stumps, de Klerk totally miscues it and it falls safely in front of deep square-leg, Masabata Klaas is sent back and she makes it back in with a desperate dive. Everything happening out there
No-one back on the off-side fence.
48.2
Rabeya Khan to Masabata Klaas, 1 run, full on middle, Masabata Klaas heaves it to deep mid-wicket and it's just one again
48.1
Rabeya Khan to de Klerk, 1 run, tossed up full outside off, the slogsweep and it's just one to deep mid-wicket
Rabeya Khan [9.0-0-43-1] is back into the attack
Sensible from South Africa. It's Masabata Klaas who's taking the risks while de Klerk aims to see it through. Rabeya meanwhile wiping the ball with a rag. So much dew - that's why Nahida Akter bowled two juicy full-tosses last over.
