Build up

It's Kuldeep Yadav vs KKR and Shreyas Iyer vs DC to kick off Super Sunday. Not many would have anticipated Kuldeep turning up for another franchise when he first burst onto the scene but his stocks took a dip in recent times forcing him out of the team. And now, he has found a new lease of life with DC where he has been making an impression. Surely, he would want to prove a point?

Same goes with Shreyas one would assume. He did lead DC to the final in 2020 but his own batting form cost him captaincy after an injury in 2021. Eventually, Pant was made full time captain and Shreyas was also released from the squad ahead of the mega auction. Under his leadership, KKR have made a very good start to the 2022 season and they will fancy their chances against a jittery DC. Delhi have issues to resolve and their skipper Pant is in need of some runs.

Warner's return was a welcome boost but he didn't get off to the greatest of starts in his Delhi reunion. His Australian teammate Cummins stunned the world the other day with a 14-ball fifty. It will be interesting to see what Cummins comes up with today to follow up with that knock. KKR primarily need him with the bat though. Welcome to the live blog for this vital clash.
