The 'will he or won't he' puzzle was finally resolved as Mohsin Naqvi arrived at the ICC headquarters in Dubai on Friday (November 7) afternoon. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman had been a doubtful attendee at the ICC meetings, given his recent record, but an atmosphere of cordiality and reconciliation led to the PCB chief's presence.

The Asia Cup Trophy impasse was raised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) at the ICC Board meeting on Friday, and the discussions took place in an atmosphere of cordiality rather than acrimony. Informally, the ICC Board offered to help resolve the deadlock between the BCCI and the PCB & Asian Cricket Council chief Mohsin Naqvi. If required, a panel may also be formed to address the issue.
