Matheesha Pathirana ruled out of Pakistan T20Is

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced the squads that will tour Pakistan for a three-match ODI series and the following T20I tri-series also featuring Zimbabwe. The ODI series commences on November 11 in Rawalpindi while the tri-series starts on November 17 at the same venue.

Pacer Dilshan Madhushanka missed out of the ODI squad having not recovered from a knee-injury and Eshan Malinga has been named his replacement. Nuwanidu Fernando, Milan Priyanath Rathnayake, Nishan Madushka and Dunith Wellalage are the others to miss out with Lahiru Udara, Kamil Mishara, Wanindu Hasaranga and Pramod Madushan taking their place.

Meanwhile, Matheesha Pathirana misses out on the T20 squad owing to an upper respiratory tract infection. Asitha Fernando has been drafted in his place. Sri Lanka have made four other changes to the T20I squad that made a group-stage exit at the Asia Cup with Nuwanidu Fernando, Dunith Wellalage, Chamika Karunaratne and Binura Fernando making way for Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Janith Liyanage, Dushan Hemantha and Eshan Malinga.
