An excellent century from Deepak Hooda put Mumbai on the backfoot against Rajasthan. With Mumbai posting just 254 in their first innings, Rajasthan came up with a strong response as their opener Sachin Yadav first made 92 before Hooda's unbeaten 121 giving the hosts the first innings lead. Rajasthan are now in pole position with a lead of 85 runs given they still have six wickets left.

Karun Nair continued to dominate proceedings by completing a double century against Kerala. There was more agony in store for Kerala as Smaran Ravichandran also slammed a double to finish unbeaten on 220 as Karnataka declared at 586/5. Vidhwath Kaverappa then picked two quick wickets to reduce Kerala to 21/3 that put Karnataka completely on top.

An unbeaten century from Shaik Rasheed and an allround performance from Saurabh Kumar has put Andhra on top against Odisha in Cuttack. Resuming at 222/3, Andhra piled on the runs with Rasheed managing to smash 140*. Lower down the order, he found help from Saurabh who hammered 69 off just 38 balls to power Andhra to 475/7 before their declaration. Saurabh then starred with the ball before stumps at a crucial stage that helped his side reduce Odisha from 65/1 to 80/4.

Shikhar Mohan's double century headlined Jharkhand's dominance over Nagaland in Ranchi. Jharkhand made up for time lost on the opening day by piling on the runs with Mohan slamming 207 off 303. Skipper Virat Singh also hammered a ton before Robin Minz absolutely laid into the opposition attack with eight sixes in his whirlwind 31-ball unbeaten 75 that powered Jharkhand to 510/8d. Nagaland's openers batted out 17 tricky overs before stumps.

Opener Shubman Khajuria's marathon 190 helped Jammu and Kashmir post 394 in their first innings against Chhattisgarh. While Khajuria held fort at one end, Ravi Kiran's seven wicket haul kept his side in the contest before some vital lower order runs dragged J&K closer to 400. In reply, Chhattisgarh finished with 75/1 by stumps.

Chama Milind was Hyderabad's unlikely hero with the bat on the second day as he pulled off a rescue act to lead his team's fightback against Himachal Pradesh. Once Himachal were bowled out for 318, Hyderabad struggled, losing half their side with just 78 on the board. They were then reduced to 132/7 and were on course to conceding a massive first innings lead before Milind hammered an unbeaten 94 off just 116 balls as Hyderabad finished the day at 274/8.

Bowlers had a field day as the game between Gujarat and Haryana moved at a pretty good pace despite no action on the opening day. Gujarat were bowled out for just 163 after Nishant Sindhu and Nikhil Kashyap shared six wickets between them. In reply, Haryana lost their top four to head into stumps, still trailing by 73 runs.

Vidarbha's bowlers led their comeback against Tamil Nadu to turn the tables by stumps on the second day. Nachiket Bhute picked up a five-wicket haul and Parth Rekhade ran through the tail as TN lost their last six wickets in shocking fashion for just the addition of 21 runs to get bowled out for 291. Aman Mokhade then hit 80 and Dhruv Shorey hit a patient unbeaten 80 to complete the turnaround as Vidarbha went into stumps at 211/2.
