Amit Majumder is a young left-handed batsman, who took up cricket in 2000. He played age-group cricket in Bangladesh and was also a part of the Under-19 team in the 2008 and 2010 World Cups. He was in a particularly good form in 2009 as he smashed a couple of tons.

He made his first-clas debut for the Khulna Division in November 2008. He started as an opening batsman and then dropped to the number 3 position. He has over 650 first-class runs and desires to play for the national team some day soon.
