PLAYER OF THE MATCH
That's it for this game. We will be back tomorrow for more. Do join us then. For now it's bye bye.
Kamindu Mendis | Player of the Match: Actually, I thought the wicket is a bit slow. So I wanted to land in the good areas and mix up the pace as well. Actually, when Polly said to get ready, I was ready. So I thought if I keep the ball in good areas, the wicket will help. And I got three wickets. (on leaving Bairstow stranded on 49) Actually, I didn't want to, I already apologised him. Pathum is doing really well. Right now, Thushara as well. So I hope they do a bit more in this season. (on how he would bowl to Nissanka?) I have no idea. I have to face him in the middle.
Kieron Pollard | MIE captain: Didn't expect 122, but limiting them to as least as possible. But I just thought the guys, sort of rebounded pretty well. Last game, we bowled well, but we didn't bat well. And today, I thought it was a professional effort. (on the bench strength) Yeah, we do. You look at our bench today, we had Woakesy, Naveen and Shakib Al Hasan on the bench. We have a bit of depth there, so it's a headache, for us. But, as we had mentioned before, it was needed on the day. And we're going to just try our best to put the best 11-12 on the park. And I think the guys understand that the most important thing is getting two points. I think we're there and thereabouts in terms of talent for talent in the competition. But, as I said in one of the first interviews we did, names on paper, strong team, balance. All these things come to nothing if you don't play good cricket on the day. So, for us, it's to remind the guys of what's important, which is, to play cricket consistently and play well.
Jason Holder | ADKR captain: We're still trying to figure it out. Yeah, obviously, 122 is not enough. Conditions got a lot easier for batting, as the dew set in. So it's something we definitely need to pay attention to. Yeah, we just, a few boys getting in and getting out. We just didn't get the partnerships going today. Well, we've just got to come and execute. I think that's been our biggest struggle. We just haven't executed and we haven't been consistent. We started well in the first game with a big total, but I think since then we haven't really adjusted to the conditions. Tonight was probably a little bit more in favour of the team bowling first, obviously, but, I think we should have probably done a lot better than we did. The belief is there and a couple of things didn't go our way tonight. That's the way cricket is played. We've just got to have the belief in the dressing room. I think we've only got one day between these next two games. But I just think it's important for us just to regroup and still keep that belief and still show that intent. We've set out a way to play this game and we want to continue to play the game and be consistent with it. It's just a matter of one or two things to go our way, which will definitely happen. (on Russell) I am honestly not 100% sure. I think tonight, tomorrow, we'll see how he pulls up. And then make a determination for the next game.
21:33 Local Time, 17:33 GMT, 23:03 IST: A no-contest this once ADKR didn't get the early wickets. Waseem hammered a hat-trick of sixes against Pierre and set things rolling. After his dismissal, Bairstow took over and AKDR had no answers. Had MIE wanted, they could have finished it off even earlier but a couple of tight overs from Narine delayed the inevitable. Maybe Holder made an error by not bowling Narine earlier than he did. Wonder if that would have changed anything. A dominant performance from MIE who come back after a loss in the last game. A hat-trick of defeats for ADKR meanwhile who struggle. Stay tuned for the post-match stuff...

Khary Pierre to Tom Banton, out Caught by George Garton!! Fantastic running catch from deep mid-wicket. Length delivery on the stumps, Tom Banton goes on the back foot to pull, the top-edge flies and seems to be landing in space, but Garton sprints in and takes it with two hands. Judged it so beautifully. Went down and tumbled over and still had the ball in his hand. Ran a long way and kept his eyes on the ball all the way through.
