PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Mitchell Owen

It was another run-fest in the offering and WAF have made it four wins a row and sit pretty at second position on the points table. The defending champions are shaping up nicely. Meanwhile, TSK would look to rectify things after two losses in a row. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. Join us tomorrow for another high-octance contest from MLC. Until next time, goodbye and cheers!

Glenn Maxwell | WAF captain: Very happy, anytime you chase 220, you got to be happy. I think we didn't bowl that well and couldn't shut the short side down. Two guys going out there and doing the job is pretty pleasing. (On their bowling plans) It's your execution and you see who the batter is, so it's a mix and match. These are things we need to work on, I still feel we haven't played the perfect game. (On playing against Stoinis) We have had some good battles. It's nice and bad at the same time playing against your teammates. We have played a long time together for Australia, you enjoy together as mates.

Mitchell Owen | PoTM: It was good fun, I was slow in the first 20-30 balls and had to catch up. I targeted the short side with the wind and it came off for me. (On the approach to chasing a big score) It's quite simple because the required run-rate is so high so need to go hard from the beginning. I was extremely lucky tonight, I bowled a couple of half vollies and got two wickets. I want to stick to my process and keep going. I guess it's about enjoying yourself and keeping it simple.

Faf du Plessis | TSK captain: We did a lot of things right today. It was a good score batting first, the pitch gets better under lights. It’s a good ground and you feel you can score on both sides of the wicket with the wind factor in the evening. You need to get a very big score if you are batting first. (On whether they could have tried others as the fifth bowling option) Savage is injured unfortunately, otherwise he is the perfect guy to sneak two overs in. We had two part-time options, not a frontline fifth bowling option, it was tough for Donovan. (On the local talent on display) So good to see, we need to back them up, if you see the year on year progression for the local boys, you see a lot of improvement.

22:48 Local Time, 03:48 GMT, 09:18 IST: WAF have registered the highest-run chase in the history of MLC and that too with relative ease eventually. TSK put up a big score on the board after being inserted into bat on the back of a 31-ball 69 from Faf and a few other breezy cameos. In reply, Milne got rid of Rachin early and things looked good for TSK as Mitchell Owen slowed down as well after a brisk start. But, the duo of Owen and Gous got going once they got their eye in and kept on finding boundaries consistently. Owen got a couple of reprieves though as he was dropped by Ferreira twice and he made the opposition pay by racing past another fifty. The duo didn't allow the spinners to settle and kept the runs flowing. They scored 46 runs off two overs (12th and 13th over combined) and that swung the momentum in their favour. Milne returned for a bowl and got the big wicket of Owen to keep his side in the hunt. Gous kept going strong though and raised a fifty of his own and mixed caution with aggression to perfection. Maxwell played a breezy cameo to help his side's cause. Milne got rid of Maxi in the penultimate over to give his side a glimmer of hope but Gous was cool as a cucumber and took his side over the line along with Phillips. Stick around for the presentations...

19.4

Stoinis to Phillips, FOUR, that's the game for WAF! Very full ball outside off, Phillips gets low in his stance and carves it through backward point to find the fence. A terrific victory for Washington

A few changes in the field. Can Stoinis pull off something spectacular for his side?

19.3

Stoinis to Gous, 1 run, very full ball tailing in down leg, Gous tries to flick it across and seems to have got an inside edge onto the pads as the ball rolls to covers. A single taken. 2 needed off 3 balls now

19.2

Stoinis to Phillips, 1 run, a low full-toss on leg-stump, Phillips clips it towards deep square leg

19.1

Stoinis to Gous, 1 run, a yorker length ball angling in towards leg-stump, Gous flicks it to deep square leg. 4 needed off 5 balls

Marcus Stoinis [3.0-0-32-0] is back into the attack

18.6

Milne to Phillips, SIX, this big hit has almost killed the game! A slot delivery on middle, Phillips says thank you very much and hammers it downtown for a maximum. Only 5 needed off the last over now

18.5

Milne to Gous, 1 run, slower back of a length ball outside off, Gous cuts it straight to extra cover. 11 needed off 7 balls

18.4

Milne to Phillips, 1 run, short of length ball outside off, Phillips slaps it to deep backward point to get off the mark. 12 needed off 8 balls

Glenn Phillips, right handed bat, comes to the crease

18.3

Milne to Maxwell, out Caught by Stoinis!! Another twist in the game? A low full-toss angling in on middle, Maxwell tries to go over mid-on but only manages to get it off the bottom half of the bat. Hence, he ends up mistiming it to mid-on. Stoinis leaps a bit to his left and takes it safely. Maxwell c Stoinis b Milne 20(12) [4s-1 6s-2]

Milne to Maxwell, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

18.3

Milne to Maxwell, wide, a back of a length ball wide outside off, Maxwell leaves it alone. Wided. 13 needed off 10 balls

18.2

Milne to Maxwell, no run, a play and a miss! Very full outside off, Maxwell crouches in his stance and tries to carve it behind square but can't connect

18.1

Milne to Maxwell, SIX, hit with authority! A slower back of a length ball outside off, Maxwell lines it up and nails the pull over deep mid-wicket for a flat maximuim. That takes all the pressure off WAF
