ABF 204/4 (20)
SLK 206/4 (17.5)
Saint Lucia Kings won by 6 wkts
PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Tim Seifert

We were treated to a run-fest in Gros Islet today! The defending champions, the Kings, continue to impress and finish their home leg with three wins in a row. The Falcons were good with the bat but had an off day in the field and with the ball. Join us for another high-octane contest from the CPL tomorrow. Don't go anywhere though as the Men's Hundred final is in progress - the Rockets are in quest of chasing down 169 against the defending champions, the Invincibles. Hop tabs to catch all the action! Until next time, goodbye and cheers!

David Wiese: First of all, thanks to everbody for coming out and supporting us. Couldn't ask more from the boys. They have been great with both bat and ball since the last few games. To come away with three wins on the trot at home is great and that too just before three games on the road puts us in good stead. (On their fielding) It was a little tough, hot and humid conditions but no excuses, we have to lift ourselves up and still address it. It was a par score, the communication was that it (the wicket) gets better as the game progresses. They scored 20 runs in excess. But we had a great powerplay and that is what set us up. (On Seifert) He is an amazing player, he is hungry to score runs and he is not giving it away which is a good thing. It's difficult to bowl to him when he is in such form.

Imad Wasim: It was very good, we wanted to score big runs and today we scored 204. Fielding win you games, the first ball was a no ball, doesn't help, dropped catches, missed chances, those things don't help. He (Amir Jangoo) played really well, the powerplay was good, we lost two wickets in cluster but Shakib came out and played brilliantly and then Allen finished off the innings nicely. A few dropped catches, slightly tough for the bowler still Seifert played an outstanding innings.

Tim Seifert | Player of the Match: It was a great win, it puts us up in a great position in the points table. I try to take one game at a time, this is probably one of the better wickets in the CPL and I made the most of it. Charles put the bowlers under pressure upfront, we lost a couple of wickets but we were always ahead of the game. (On his hundred celebration) We had a street party the other day down here and it’s a Caribbean style of dance.

14:26 Local Time, 18:26 GMT, 23:56 IST: What a knock this has been from Seifert - a true display of power-hitting at its best! The Falcons posted in excess of 200 courtesy a blazing fifty from Shakib and a breezy cameo from Allen at the fag end. They had the runs on the board but they were hit by a storm in the form of Tim Seifert. Charles got going with a couple of lusty blows but fell to Irshad soon after. Seifert was dominant from the word-go and kept finding boundaries at will. The Kings raced to 92/1 at the end of the powerplay and there was no stopping them. When you get off to such a blazing start in the run-chase, half the job is done there itself. Auguste couldn't convert his start into something substantial and Chase fell soon after but Seifert continued on his merry way. Seifert was unstoppable today as he accessed all areas of the field and took the opposition bowlers to the cleaners. Seifert converted his fifty into a hundred (joint-fastest century in CPL) and kept going. The destructive batter from New Zealand took his side over the line with 13 balls to spare.

Jayden Seales to Seifert, SIX, Seifert finishes it off in style! He holds his arms wide and then hugs his partner! It has been a statement from Seifert. A pitched up ball on middle, Seifert clears his front leg and heaves it over mid-wicket to take his side to a convincing victory

Jayden Seales to Delano Potgieter, 1 run, back of a length delivery, Delano Potgieter knocks it down to long-on

A slight drizzle now. The crowd is loving it as they let out a loud cheer

17.3

Jayden Seales to Delano Potgieter, FOUR, The Kings are just one hit away now! A slower back of a length ball around off, Delano Potgieter hits it off the bottom half of the bat but it has enough on it to clear mid-off. Odean Smith runs after it but can't stop the boundary

17.2

Jayden Seales to Seifert, 1 run, Seifert backs away and it's a slower shortish delivery on leg-stump, Seifert swipes it to the left of deep backward square leg. A few words are exchanged between Seifert and Jayden Seales

16.1

Salman Irshad to Seifert, 2 runs, slower one dug into the surface, Seifert hops and pulls it in the gap through mid-wicket for a couple

15.6

Jayden Seales to Delano Potgieter, no run, this is good bowling from Jayden Seales! Slower short ball outside off, cutting across Delano Potgieter. He tries to chop it square of the wicket but misses once again. Jayden Seales has something to say to Potgieter as well. Brilliant over from Jayden Seales, it's a wicket-maiden

Seifert walks down to have a chat with Delano Potgieter
