Another game of the Hundred is done and dusted. These games are so quick. You make a mistake and there is not enough time to set it right. The bowling of the Phoenix was top notch and they executed better than their opponents. The result is a thumping win for the Phoenix who are looking to get their campaign back on track. That is it for today. We will be back soon with more cricketing action.

Liam Livingstone|Match Hero: We needed a win. We had played well at Edgbaston coming into this. The bowlers were phenomenal. They didn't miss a yorker at the end. Full credit to them. Sometimes it can be difficult going in after an early wicket. But Joe has been fantastic for us. Big win for us. We are up against it in this tournament. We would look to win and keep improving our NRR and see what happens.

20:19 Local Time, 19:19 GMT, 00:49 IST: The Phoenix had three losses coming into this and they have turned the tide with a massive win. They have won with 35 balls to spare. Smeed went back for a blob. Joe Clarke came in and showed intent. He scored a quick fifty and then the baton was passed to Livingstone and Jacob Bethell, both of whom wanted to finish quickly. Towering sixes followed and the game was done quickly. Dawson though for the London Spirit side sustained an injury to his right hand and they would hope he recovers quickly. Third loss for the Spirit from their 5th game. They never had enough runs on the board and they have paid the price for it. This win has helped the Phoenix to pip the London Spirit. The Phoenix have moved to the 6th position.

65

Richard Gleeson to Livingstone, SIX, this is a thumping win. This is a statement. They win with 35 balls to spare. Was a length delivery, angled in, Livingstone got hold of the delivery and slammed it over the ropes

64

Richard Gleeson to Livingstone, SIX, and the Liam show continues. Was a short ball, outside off, Livingstone pulls it over deep backward square for a sixer. Hefty hit from the skipper

61

Richard Gleeson to Livingstone, no run, very full, angled in, Livingstone gets the bat down and jams it out

The Phoenix needed some points and needed to better their NRR and they might as well have achieved both here.

60

Olly Stone to Livingstone, 1 run, and one more to end the set. Was a fuller length delivery, well wide outside off, Livingstone slapped it hard and Dan at long-off dived to stop it. That was going to the fence as well. But the big burly pacer did well

59

Olly Stone to Livingstone, SIX, six more. Livingstone is looking to finish it in few shots. Was a length delivery, Livingstone middled the heave and sent it over deep mid. That was hit so cleanly by the batter

58

Olly Stone to Livingstone, no run, rare dot ball. Good delivery from Olly Stone as he bent his back and bowled it short enough to go over the right shoulder

57

Olly Stone to Livingstone, SIX, they have an eye on the NRR. Six more means 23 needed now. Was a short ball, outside off, Livingstone fetches it and sends that miles over deep square. He climbed into that delivery and smoked it bigggggggg. Both the batters have now decided to finish this as soon as possible. The ball has been sent into the world of oblivion. The new ball being selected now

56

Olly Stone to Livingstone, FOUR, four more. 29 needed now. In for an early finish now. On the pads, fuller, Livingstone stayed his crease and hit that hard and wide of the man at mid-on for a four

Daniel Worrall to Jacob Bethell, 1 run, on the hips, tucks the ball down to deep backward square for a single. Was a short of length delivery from the bowler

54

51

Daniel Worrall to Jacob Bethell, 1 run, fuller length delivery, clipped down to long-on for a single

Time for a time-out. The Phoenix need only 48 off the last 50 balls. That should be a dawdle. Plenty of batting left.
