CSK ARE OFF THE MARK!No win toss, win match here in Mumbai today as CSK picked up a 23-run win over RCB to get their first points on the board. It was a web that CSK's spinners spun over RCB, who lost early wickets and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. They couldn't get partnerships going, which was crucial in a chase as steep as 217. Mahesh Theekshana returned 4-33, while skipper Jadeja had 3-39 as CSK didn't let RCB out of their watch. Yet, RCB managed to reach 193 thanks to some late blows from Dinesh Karthik and Suyash Prabhudessai. But CSK will be pleased with that win.

They were rescued and revived by a record 165-run stand between Robin Uthappa and Shivam Dube earlier. The pair were dealing in sixes as the runs flowed with 156 runs coming off the last 10 overs. Dube remained unbeaten on 95, while Uthappa fell for 88. RCB needed one from their top order to get stuck in and take charge of the innings, which didn't happen today. They lost their top three within the powerplay.

It was a superb win from CSK, who will be happy with how things turned out today. Hope you enjoyed the game. Until tomorrow, goodbye!

WOW - what a catch! That was a spectacular catch from Rayudu, who threw in the dive and took a one-handed beauty.Jadeja has his third wicket of the night as CSK inch closer towards their first win in the tournament.

Wanindu Hasaranga holes out in the deep as RCB continue to slide.

Pitch report:It's a very, very dry pitch which is already dusty, reckons Swann. Good news for the spinners.

This is CSK's 200th IPL match.

One side that hasn't been able to pick up a win in this edition of the tournament in four games. And the other has three wins on the trot. Hello, and welcome to the South Indian derby of the Indian Premier League. The struggling Chennai Super Kings are up against the high-flying Royal Challengers Bangalore at the DY Patil Academy.

CSK haven't been able to hit their straps in the tournament yet, struggling for any kind of momentum. They're missing their strike bowler in Deepak Chahar who is suffering from a back injury, and who may potentially even miss the entire tournament. The bowlers haven't been able to deliver early wickets, nor have the batters really done anything noteworthy. Mildly put, they're struggling across departments.

RCB, meanwhile, after a first loss, have bounced back in style to march to a hat-trick of wins. They're boosted by the addition of Glenn Maxwell to their XI who hit the winning runs in the last game against Mumbai Indians. They're positioned at No.3, tied with four other teams. A win tonight will take them to the top of the table. Under du Plessis, they're looking like a side that not just has all bases covered, but are striking cohesively.
