Australia managed to secure a nervy four-run win despite Rashid Khan's late assault (23-ball 48 - his highest T20I score). While the result means Sri Lanka's qualification hopes are dashed, the small margin of victory also means that even though Australia are alive in the tournament, they will have to rely on Sri Lanka to beat England. Despite some individual brilliance, it was quite an underwhelming performance by Australia, much like it has been throughout the tournament. Afghanistan, on the other hand, put up a spirited performance today but will head back home without a win in the 2022 T20 World Cup.
