Holder kept SRH in the game got them close but it was Punjab who held their nerve in the end Nathan Ellis bowled a superb final over to get PBKS over the line. SRH have been as good as knocked out of this year's tournament with that loss. There's an outside chance but it seems pretty bleak. They still have just one win... Sunrisers Hyderabad's season has dwindled, plumetted, and dwindled once again. They've played eight games and have just two points to show for. Nothing has worked for the Kane Williamson's side, as they began the UAE leg with another underwhelming batting performance. For them to salvage anything from this season that already looks like a lost cause, they need David Warner to switch on once again. He was exceptional in UAE in 2020 and needs to rekindle that form of himself, particularly so in the absence of Jonny Bairstow.
PBKS have issues of their own. Not for the first time, they lost a game that they had no business losing and now find a gap between them and the chasing pack above them looking to gun for a top four spot. They quickly need a favourable result to shrug that nightmare off, and then aim to make upward strides.
