It's been a tough series for Australia, who were without most of their first-team players. The conditions were heavily in favour of the hosts, and despite a win in the series, the visitors struggled to come to terms on how to apply themselves. However, they would hope to pick a few lessons from their 1-4 series defeat.

Australia's middle and lower order crumbled like a pack of cards. In a space of 19 balls, they lost their last six wickets. The collapse began with Saifuddin striking twice in the 11th over to dismiss Alex Carey (bowled) and Moises Henriques (edging to the wicketkeeper). Shakib Al Hasan followed up on that and cleaned up the tail, returning figures of 4 of 9. Australia's innings that never got going in the chase eventually folded up for 62 in 13.4 overs. With this commanding win, Bangladesh have ended the series with a 4-1 win.
