RCB win by one run!
RCB win by one run!
Dhoni did all he could, hit 24 off the first five balls but misses the final one. The non-striker is run out by a direct hit from Parthiv Patel. Dhoni is denied despite a superb 84 off 48 balls.
Innings break: RCB end with 161
Moeen Ali played a neat cameo towards the latter part of the innings, and did as much as he could with the limited balls that he got to face. His 16-ball 26 was key in RCB getting to 161, a total that seems under par but still something to fight with.
WICKET: Faf du Plessis brilliance gets Stoinis out
Tahir gets Stoinis to miscue one and du Plessis takes it at long off before parrying it in to the other field before falling over. RCB continue to stutter.
Fifty and OUT!
Parthiv Patel gets his off 36 balls and is out the next ball, hitting a short one to cover. Useful innings nevertheless. Can RCB still have a good finish? They now have Stoinis and Moeen Ali in the middle.
WICKET: Jadeja gets his second
After a 39-run stand, Akshdeep Nath holes out to long off against Jadeja. He departs after a 20-ball 24.
Parthiv-Akshdeep steady
The two have not been too adventurous but have played a decent hand so far in getting RCB going. Parthiv has hit four sixes so far.
WICKET: Jadeja gets de Villiers
He did not look in his elements today. Jadeja gets a little turn, AB skips down and goes through with a loft despite not getting to the pitch. Faf du Plessis stays still and takes a neat catch at long off.
de Villiers going hard
He's been trying to hit every ball out of the park, or at least that's how it seems. One such shot almost turned out to be a catch with du Plessis leaping up and getting a hand. But he survives that chance and is on 23 off 17 after the powerplay. RCB are 49/1.
WICKET: Kohli falls to Chahar
The outswing trick works well. A regulation length ball that shapes away and Kohli is out nicking behind. Chahar is off on a celebratory run, why won't he!
TOSS: CSK opt to bowl; Dhoni, Bravo and de Villiers return

Will Dhoni and AB de Villiers play?
That will be one of the biggest questions leading up to the game. Dhoni had a bit of practice on the eve of the game but a decision will be made only later. AB de Villiers' concussion will have RCB a little worried. That decision too will come out soon. Important game for the hosts, and they should fancy their chances at home against a side that is better suited for slower tracks. We'll have the toss and team updates for you very soon.
