NEW ZEALAND WINLockie Ferguson and Mitchell Santner held their nerves to take New Zealand past the winning line with two wickets in hand. Bangladesh did well to fight with a below-par score with some tight bowling and really good fielding. However, Mushfiqur Rahim's error while attempting to run out Kane Williamson proved too costly eventually.

WICKETS Mushfiqur Rahim may have made a massive blunder with the Kane Williamson non-run out but he has taken two superb catches to dismiss Ross Taylor and Colin de Grandhomme in quick succession and keep Bangladesh interested in the contest.

WICKETS Kane Williamson and Tom Latham have fallen in the same over and given Bangladesh a hop of a turnaround. New Zealand have slipped from 160 for 2 to 162 for 4.

FIFTY Ross Taylor has continued his good form in ODIs and brought up his 48th ODI half-century. He has looked in control and commanded New Zealand's chase today.

Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor have consolidated well and put on a half-century stand to ensure that Bangladesh don't get a chance to impose themselves on the game.

Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar have walked out to open the innings for Bangladesh. Matt Henry with the first new ball for New Zealand.

Kane Williamson won the toss and elected to field. Both teams have come in with unchanged Playing XIs.

Prelude:

While the India vs South Africagrabbed more eyeballs, that encounter - I fear - might end up being a one-sided affair. Don't worry! The ICC World Cup treats us with another encounter and Kennington Oval is the host.

Two teams that won their respective first matches of the competitions lock horns against each other. The Kiwis absolutely mauled Sri Lanka by skittling them out for 136. Bangladesh, meanwhile, pulled off a stunning win against the Proteas here at the Oval. They are no pushovers and everyoneknows that.

While the recent head-to-head records are highly in favour of the Blackcaps, Mortaza's men beat NZ in the last ICC event meeting. So, it comes down who handles pressure well on that particular day. The last three days have treated us with competitive games and let's hope that the trend continues. Who will keep their winning habit going? Read Rob Johnston's preview here.
