And it's a draw! A lot of time in the game was lost due to rain and poor light, but the game went till the last session of Day 5 with a possibility of a result. In hindsight, Sri Lanka might rue the two hours of play that they lost early on Day 3 due to their refusal to take field. Nonetheless, the fortunes in the game swung both ways. Sri Lanka managed to put a good fight in the second innings and stretched the hosts. However, Kraigg Brathwaite was defiant and helped them escape with a draw. For his match figures of 13 for 121, Shannon Gabriel was awarded the Man of the Match.
Thanks for joining us. For all the interruption, it was quite a frustrating Test to follow, nonetheless, the cricketing action was gripping. The two teams go to the final Test with Windies leading 1-0.
Not for the first time in the game, or even the day, p-lay has halted. This time it is due to the light. With less than an hour remaining, it hardly seems likely that the game will resume. Even if it does, it will be difficult for Sri Lanka to press for a win.
Play has finally resumed after more than an hour of rain break. Sri Lanka need five more wickets. One wicket here can change things dramatically. Can they pull of a win?
Well, well... a day that was going well. Rain is here again.
A fine 51-run stand between Shai Hope and Kraigg Brathwaite has come to an end. The former is undone by a fine delivery by Suranga Lakmal. The ball nips back in after pitching and castles Hope. Windies are reduced to 118 for 5.
Shai Hope and Kraigg Brathwaite have done well to take Windies to Tea without any further damage, at 108 for 4. The hosts managed to add 53 runs in the post Lunch session, losing only the wicket of Roston Chase during the period. There is something that Dinesh Chandimal doesn't look too pleased with, and he has opened up about his discontent to umpire Ian Gould. A fascinating last session of play remains. It could last for three hours with Sri Lanka needing six wickets to win.
Kraigg Brathwaite has dropped anchor, but Shai Hope has got the scoreboard moving even as Windies are clearly playing for a draw. There isn't much help for the bowlers anymore and that has made the task slightly easier for the batsmen.
Good news for Windies: Shai Hope has come out to bat.
Akila Dananjaya, who hasn't been as impressive as the pacers, has struck with a brilliant delivery, or made to look better with the way Shane Dowrich played it. A bit of turn and a bit of bounce induces an edge and gets him squared up. It's an early strike for Sri Lanka in the post Lunch session.
Ian Gould's poor run in the Test continues. Shane Dowrich was adjudged legbefore, but he decided to take a review. And as replays suggest, it was clearly missing the leg stump. He survives.
It has been a painful session for the Windies, but Kraigg Brathwaite has kept them steady. They have lost three wickets, apart from Shai Hope who has been injured. It has been slow going so far and the hosts don't seem well placed to go for the chase any longer. 55 for 3.
It has been a tough period of play for Roston Chase, who has survived several hits and misses off Lahiru Kumara, but Kraigg Brathwaite has been steady and helped Windies past the 50-run mark. It has been slow going for the visitors, but that is what you expect with Brathwaite in the middle.
Kraigg Brathwaite and Roston Chase are holding on. After two quick wickets, they are back to doing what they do best - go chasing nothing. And it has worked for them so far as Sri Lanka have failed to strike in the last one hour of play.
Shai Hope gets hit on his ribs by a mean 148 kmph delivery from Lahiru Kumara. It shot up quickly and the batsman failed to evade it. He has walked off retired, not sure if he will resume his innings later.
