Catch your breaths! This has been an IPL classic. Mumbai Indians had won this game long back... or so it seemed. Then Gujarat Lions came storming back through James Faulkner and Basil Thampi. The two gave IPL 2017 debutant Irfan Pathan 11 to defend in the final over. Ravindra Jadeja's brilliance in the field meant MI got only 10, forcing the first super over of the season.

MI didn't even play their quota of six deliveries but Bumrah was Bumrah... After bowling a no-ball and a wide, he still conceded only six runs, giving MI victory by six runs (in the super over).

Wickets: Two in quick succession

And just like that, Mumbai hit back. That's what champion sides do. Kishan's onslaught has been countered by two quick wickets - those of Suresh Raina and Jasprit Bumrah. Raina top edge a nudge to on-side and Kieron Pollard took a sharp catch at mid-on.

Ishan Kishan is looking better with every delivery. Some confidence this from a man so young. Has taken the attack to Mumbai Indians early in this innings. Starts a little tentatively but really comes into his own against Mitchell McClenaghan, in the third over of the game. A pulled six over cow corner followed by two boundaries on the off side. He's already reached 36.

McCullum falls cheaply:

Not the best of seasons for McCullum so far. This is an ungainly slog from B-Mac and he misses. Malinga doesn't. Timber! Early strike for Mumbai!

TOSS: Gujarat Lions have won the toss and have bucked the trend, with Suresh Raina opting to bat first. He reckons the pitch is dry, and wants to bat when it is at its best. Rohit Sharma, on the other hand, feels the track will remain the same over the course of the 40 overs and has no disappointment in chasing.
