After losing the Test series 4-0, England were hopeful of turning the tables around in the limited-overs series. But unfortunately, they lost the ODI series as well by losing the first two games. They pulled themselves up in the T20Is with their bowlers coming up with some superb spells especially at the death. But on a batting paradise, they suffered at the hands of Raina, Dhoni and Yuvraj and let India score 202 and then went on to fall like a pack of cards in shocking fashion to finish the tour on a very disappointing note.

T20

Big news coming in from Bengaluru. Umpire Shamsuddin has decided not to officiate in this game following criticism over his performance in the second T20I. He will be the third umpire today. More on that over here.

The stage is set for high-scoring game to close out what has been a very long and tiring tour for England. They can aim to end it on a high note though after getting blanked in the Test series and edged out in the ODIs. Ideally, they would have liked to seal the T20I series in the previous encounter at Nagpur but India fought back in tremendous fashion and were aided a by an umpiring howler to steal a five-run win.

They have been far from convincing though in these two matches so far with the batting department being the biggest concern. The home side has failed to accelerate at the right time in order to put up big scores with England choking them at the death. Will fortunes change at the Chinnaswamy tonight on a track that is expected to be a batting paradise? We are used to witnessing the bat dominate the ball at this venue in recent times and the trend is likely to continue tonight.

It will be interesting to see if India make any changes to their lineup. Will Rishabh Pant get a game? Will Rasool be brought back? And what about England? They will probably won't be risking three spinners in the lineup at this venue which would mean that Plunkett could get a look in again. Welcome to our live blog for the third and final T20I.
