Toss delayed
It's drizzling at the venue and hence the toss has been delayed. But with the forecast looking good for the rest of the day, we should still be getting a full game hopefully.
Build up
England's home season is all set to conclude tonight with the final ODI against Windies but the focus continues to remain on Ben Stokes. The fact that the game is inconsequential after England wrapped up the series at The Oval hasn't helped either. Windies had a wonderful opportunity to register their third win on the tour after Evin Lewis and Alzarri Joseph came up with their career-best performances but a calculative Moeen Ali helped England sneak through in dramatic fashion.
Windies will now have to regroup themselves to finish the tour on a high and they will have to do without Lewis and their skipper Jason Holder. While Lewis is out with a hairline fracture that he suffered during his epic knock, Holder has flown back home to attend his uncle's funeral. Considering these two alone contributed more than 250 runs in the last game, Windies will have their task cut out at Southampton.
For England, it's about tinkering about their combination yet again in the absence of Stokes. Sam Billings replaced him last game but it will be interesting to see if they include another bowling option considering they conceded 356 runs at The Oval. Jason Roy will be getting another opportunity as well in the absence of Alex Hales. Welcome to the live blog for the final ODI. Tweet in your opinions to @Narbavi and have them featured on the blog.
