Bangladesh were bold with their
Some relief, for it rained rather heavily last night!
Preamble
Hello and Good Morning/Afternoon! Have you recovered from last night's shocker yet?
The final round of group stage matches begin today with New Zealand vs Bangladesh. Yes, it's a refreshingly short event for a multi-team event. New Zealand, still transitioning after the Brendon McCullum era, have been undone by England and the English rain in their two encounters thus far.
You'd think that in Bangladesh they probably have their easiest of fixtures (what?!) at the end. Think again. Since 2010, NZ have never found facing up Bangladesh easy at all. Accepted that many of those Bangladesh wins came at home but the Mashrafe Mortaza's boys also won the most recent encounter between these sides in Ireland ahead of this tournament. So NZ will be wary.
There's all kinds of scenarios floating around regarding qualification. At the very base of it all, both teams need to win this game. That is if rain allows play!
This is Kaushik Rangarajan welcoming you to the live blog of this very important Group A fixture from Cardiff. I'll be joined by Vishaal Loganathan very soon and we'll take you through this game.
