Hello everyone! The weekend is over but the action continues as the IPL entourage reaches Hyderabad for the 12th match of the season. Two teams - Hyderabad and Mumbai - marred by injuries are up against each other. Finally, it's been confirmed that Lasith Malinga won't be able to feature in this season due to his long-standing knee problem. Lendl Simmons is anyway out due to a lower back issue. But that might turn out to be a blessing in disguise for Mumbai, provided they sneak in Martin Guptill in the final XI.
For Hyderabad as if the news of Yuvraj's injury was not enough, Nehra and Kane Williamson too have suffered blows. While Yuvi is nursing a twisted ankle, Nehra has a groin strain and Williamson a niggle in his hamstring. All three are expected to be fit and fine in a couple of weeks. But with Yuvi and Williamson getting ruled out, there is evident extra pressure on David Warner and unfortunately that pressure coupled with captaincy duties has not allowed the Aussie to flourish at the fullest. However, Mustafizur has been exceptional with the ball and Hyderabad would hope that the conditions hold him in good stead. We still have some time left for the toss.
Warner was at his brutal best in the end as he smashed two sixes to take his team past the finishing line. He remains unbeaten on 90 as SRH register their first win in this year's IPL. Barinder Sran did the damage with the ball earlier to restrict Mumbai to 142. Dhawan once again was dismissed early but it was the David Warner show that stole the spotlight.
Mumbai Indians (Playing XI): Rohit Sharma(c), Martin Guptill, Parthiv Patel(w), Jos Buttler, Hardik Pandya, Ambati Rayudu, Harbhajan Singh, Krunal Pandya, Tim Southee, Mitchell McClenaghan, Jasprit Bumrah
Alright then, Martin Guptill is on strike, Parthiv Patel is with him. So, Rohit Sharma moves down the order. Bhuvneshwar Kumar starts with the ball and we are all set to rock and roll ...
