Having won all three of their matches, India have made it to the final and with Bangladesh joining them with a victory over Pakistan last night, this match is a dead rubber. UAE, on the other hand, will rue their missed opportunities. Their bowling attacked looked mightily impressive but their batting let them down. What can they come up with today?
MS Dhoni did indicate that he would like to make some changes in order to test the bench strength. And that could also mean some changes in the batting order as Dhoni himself hasn't spent enough time out in the middle.
Pawan Negi will be making his debut today as he receives his cap from Ravi Shastri. What a big moment this is for the 23-year-old! His performances over the last 12 months have caught everyone's attention and no wonder former India opener Virender Sehwag picked him ahead of Hardik Pandya in his rapid fire round with Cricbuzz.
Changes galore for Team India as UAE opt to bat after winning the toss. MS says he wanted to bat first just ahead of the final since India have been chasing in the last two matches. Pawan Negi, Harbhajan Singh and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are getting a game today and have replaced Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ashish Nehra. For UAE, Qadeer Ahmed replaces Usman Mushtaq.
