Scotland batsmen Matt Machan and Kyle Coetzer have batted well to get Scotland over the 100-run mark without losing any further wicket. Runs haven't come thick and fast but the scoring-rate is still decent over four and a half. After settling in initially, both batsmen have found the going rather very easy. Except for Rubel Hossain, who has been erratic, conceding 21 runs in three overs, rest of the bowlers have bowled decently, if not well. This is infact the first occasion where Scotland haven't lost wickets in clusters.

Scotland has a real good start and Bangladesh should be more cautious. The way Scotland is going, they might put up a good score, something touching 300. The Bangladesh openers don't have a good record in terms of carrying through the innings or even power show case in this World Cup. The bowlers need to do something quickly here.

For Bangladesh to have any chance to make it to the quarter-finals of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, they will have to win two of their next three fixtures. After opening their campaign with an easy win against Afghanistan, they got a bonus point courtesy a washout against Australia; but a pasting at the hands of Sri Lanka would have had the ninth-ranked ODI team thinking. But, up against Scotland at the Saxton Oval, the Asian team will be hoping to stay alive in race for the knockout stage, before they face off against much tougher opponents in England and New Zealand.

Scotland, on the other hand, are still looking for their first in this World Cup and after failing to clinch a thriller against Afghanistan, the match against Bangladesh provides them with the last realistic chance to open their account in the tournament, before taking on Sri Lanka and Australia. However, the Associates can take heart from the fact that it was here at the Saxton Oval that another Associate nation, Ireland, defeated West Indies in the fifth game of the competition. Also, Scotland's only win against a full-member nation was against Bangladesh in a T20I in 2012.

Bangladesh have won the toss and have opted to field, but is it the right move? Bangladesh's bowling hasn't been the best and if Scotland are to post to total of above 250, then Bangladesh is most likely to struggle chasing it.

Mortaza: It was a tough match against Sri Lanka. We had a 7 day break and we had a good preparation. We will bowl first. Looks like there is moisture in the wicket and the ball will swing a bit. Hopefully, we will restrict them to a good total that we can chase down. Bowling was not upto the mark in the last match, hopefully we will come back nicely in this match. The top-order will hopefully, make a comeback. One change, Mominul is not there in the team and Nasir Hossain comes back.

Mommsen: That was a difficult one to take (the game against Afghanistan). But, we had a few days off and it is brilliant to be at Nelson, taking the scenery and get refreshed. We are ready to go today. We would have bowled first as well. But, I think at the same time it looks like a good cricket wicket. Hopefully, we can put the runs on the board and put them under pressure. That is going to be an important phase today and make sure we get through the new ball. The focus will be on the middle overs and make sure we set-up the back end of the innings. We wanted to approach every game the same. Bangladesh, we know we are capable of beating, we have beaten them in the past. So, we want to put in a good performance today. We got the same XI.
