Straight after the supper break India took the batting powerplay and Rohit Sharma guided a short delivery to the cover boundary to bring up his 24th ODI half-century. The talented opening batsman enjoyed a fruitful time in the middle after being dismissed early in India's opening two fixtures.

A target of 103 was never going to test India and Rohit Sharma got himself valuable game time and stroked a confident 57* to give India a convincing nine wicket win. Rohit shared a 75-run second wicket stand with Virat Kohli as India chased down the target under 19 overs. Earlier Ravichandran Ashwin picked up his career best figures of 4/25 bowling a good mix of slow off-breaks and arm-balls. Umesh Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja picked up a couple of wickets each as India extended their unbeaten streak in 50-over ICC tournaments.

Having won 3 games out of 3, India top pool B with 6 points. They next take on West Indies, also in Perth, on March 6.
