Gujarat Lions, after their losses in the first two matches, have hit an early low in the tournament. A mediocre effort thus far has pulled the team down, so much so that they desperately need a shot in the arm. Their decision to fill their overseas quota with only batsmen hasn't worked either. James Faulkner in IPL 2016: 7 matches, 162 runs, 2 wickets, Average of 83.50 and a strike rate of 51.
Faulkner in BBL 2016-17: 4 matches, 89 runs, 1 wicket, Average of 89 and a strike rate of 72.
Andrew Tye in BBL 2016-17: 10 matches, 274 runs, 10 wickets, Average of 27.40 and a strike rate of 23. (He's yet to play a game in the IPL).
