No Gill, Jitesh for T20 World Cup; Ishan Kishan returns to India T20I squad

Ishan Kishan has been included in India's squad for the T20 World Cup 2026 while Axar Patel has been named vice-captain for the multi-team event. The Indian selectors, meanwhile left out Shubman Gill and Jitesh Sharma for the competition.

Rinku Singh, who was recently left out of the India squad for the South Africa series, has returned to the squad for the World Cup.
