W
Short to David Moody, out Bowled!! Short has a wicket for his efforts with the ball - kept plugging away flat and at the stumps, no room for Moody to swing his arms - is cramped up on the pull and missed, the ball goes on to hit the middle and leg-stump. David Moody b Short 8(15)
19.2
Short to David Moody, 1 run, flatter and on the pads, clipped towards mid-wicket for a sharp single - a better throw would have had Moody well short
15.4
W
Thornton to Tye, out Bowled!! The Scorchers keep losing wickets, can they bat out the 20 overs? This was full and this was straight from Thornton - Tye tried to shuffle across and play the lap shot - too cheeky for his own good and the ball crashed into the middle-stump. Has become a procession in the last few overs. Tye b Thornton 2(4)

W
Fawad Ahmed to Behrendorff, out Bowled!! The wrong 'un and it has slipped right through the gate - Behrendorff didn't spot it coming, was pushing in front of his body - big gap between bat and pad, enough for the ball to sneak through and rattle the top of off-stump. The Scorchers are falling away after a strong start. Behrendorff b Fawad Ahmed 0(2)
14.2
W
Fawad Ahmed to Laurie Evans, out Caught by Harry Nielsen!! That's a body blow for the Scorchers - the in-form and well-set Evans has been dismissed - dropped slightly short and there's extra bounce on this one, Evans was making room for the cut, gets a thick top-edge and Harry Nielsen did well to hold on. Could make a difference of 20-25 runs to the final total. Laurie Evans c Harry Nielsen b Fawad Ahmed 39(31) [4s-4 6s-1]

Conway to Laurie Evans, FOUR, 19 from the power surge, the slower ball, but it's too full and it's spotted early by Evans - goes over extra cover with the drive, one bounce and over the ropes
13.5
Conway to Tye, 1 run, on a good length and at the stumps, driven down towards long-on for a single
12.4
W
Siddle to Laurie Evans, out Sabburg Run Out!! This is smart cricket from the Strikers and Sabburg is run-out, by a long way - there was no run there and bot sure where he was heading to. Full and just outside off - Evans went hard on the drive and the ball bounced into the hands of backward point - Sabburg was off and running, was a long way down the pitch before being sent back, slipped as he turned around and had no chance, a gentle lob to the bowler who does the rest. Sabburg run out (Thomas Kelly/Siddle) 3(7)
12.3
4
Siddle to Laurie Evans, FOUR, just short of the ropes - short of a good length and just outside off, Evans didn't get hold of the pull, was in the air for a long time, but bounces in front of the ropes at wide long-on
10.3
W
Siddle to Hardie, out Caught by Thornton!! One gets two for the Strikers - Hardie can't get going tonight, another short ball that got big on him and he can't quite control the pull - gets a fat top-edge and it sailed all the way to deep backward square leg. Thornton ran in, slid forward, went with soft hands and held on. This will help the Strikers pull things back. Hardie c Thornton b Siddle 0(3)
10
W
Thornton to Turner, out Caught by Short!! That's a massive wicket - Turner could have been so dangerous towards the lead to the death overs - this was full and this was just outside off - Turner backed away on the drive past cover, but since the length is too full, he can't really get under it - carves it high and over cover - Short runs around to his left in the deep and claims the catch. The Strikers needed this wicket - they were starting to turn it on. The players will take drinks as well. Turner c Short b Thornton 28(15) [4s-2 6s-2]

Thornton to Laurie Evans, FOUR, cracking shot, short of a good length and at the stumps, Evans leans forward, presents the full face of the bat and then drives it back past the non-striker, runs away to the ropes
9.2
4
Thornton to Turner, FOUR, back-to-back boundaries, full and at the stumps, Turner leans forward and then drills the on-drive, back past the non-striker and straight of mid-on, for another boundary
9.1
6
Thornton to Turner, SIX, lovely, a gift from Thornton - full-toss down leg, Turner shuffles across and then uses the pace on the ball to paddle it all the way over the fine leg boundary
8.2
4
Conway to Turner, FOUR, drilled, length ball at the stumps, Turner gets a big stride forward and then thumps it back over the bowler's head, sends it speeding away to the ropes
7.4
6
Fawad Ahmed to Laurie Evans, SIX, clubbed, turning out to be an expensive over - a half-tracker from Fawad - Evans rocks back and has enough on the pull to clear the back-tracking fielder at the deep mid-wicket boundary - looks like he has hurt himself as he fell on his back, might have hit the advertisement board and he's off for some treatment. He actually rolled his ankle as he dived, it's Jono Wells
7.2
6
Fawad Ahmed to Turner, SIX, cracking shot, too full from Fawad, lets Turner gets under it on the slog-sweep and he sends it a long way over, wide of long-on and over the ropes for a maximum
6.4
4
Thornton to Laurie Evans, FOUR, nicely played a leg-stump half-volley from Thornton - Evans gets inside the line and whips it in front of square on the on-side, was the short boundary and he split the two fielders in the deep perfectly
5.5
W
Fawad Ahmed to Kurtis Patterson, out Caught by Siddle!! Fawad has instant revenge - dropped short and wide of off, slowed down the pace and draged the length wide, had Patterson reaching out on the drive - he couldn't keep the shot down and Siddle completes a fine overhead catch at extra-cover. Was looking good, Patterson, but falls after a start. Kurtis Patterson c Siddle b Fawad Ahmed 25(19) [4s-2 6s-1]
5.4
6
Fawad Ahmed to Kurtis Patterson, SIX, massive, nicely tossed up wide of off - Patterson bends down low, was targetting the short square on-side boundary with the slog-sweep and sends it a long way into the stands
3.3
4
Siddle to Kurtis Patterson, FOUR, back-to-back boundaries for Patterson - too short and too straight from Siddle, Patterson gets inside the line and gets a tickle on the flick, past the keeper and runs away to the ropes
3.2
4
Siddle to Kurtis Patterson, FOUR, nicely played, first boundary off the innings, back of a length and on the hips, Patterson gets inside the line and flicks it past square leg - the fielder in the deep is square and has no chance
3.1
W
Siddle to Nick Hobson, out Caught&Bowled!! Siddle strikes straightaway - Hobson couldn't get going and wass looking for a release shot, this wasn't short enough for the pull, rushed onto the bat, gets a big top-edge and Siddle himself called for it - ran forward and gleefully accepted the skier. The Strikers have started well with the ball and have now been rewarded with a wicket. Nick Hobson c and b Siddle 3(9)
