Meredith to Wells, out Caught by McDermott!! That's a screamer from McDermott! It seemed to be dipping on him near the deep backward point fence but he timed his dive well and pouched it inches above the ground. That's the end of Wells. He was trying to get this much finer, punching uppishly off the back foot but couldn't quite get the placement right. Would still have gotten away with it, if not for some terrific fielding. He's taken out both the set batters in the space of four deliveries and the Strikers are dented a bit here. This was a short of a length ball, Renshaw shuffled across for the pull stroke but was hurried on the shot. Hit high on the blade and straight down the throat of deep mid-wicket. Meredith to Wells, FOUR, misses the yorker by a small margin, low full toss on the pads and Wells flicks it away through mid-wicket. Timing is really sweet and it races away to the fence in a flash

Meredith to Weatherald, out Caught by Tim David!! Meredith breaks the partnership! The Hurricanes needed this badly as the partnership was in top gear. Well-disguised slower ball, the off-cutter that grips a bit and the extra bounce is what does Weatherald in here. He tried to cut and ended up slicing it straight to backward point. Nathan Ellis to Renshaw, FOUR, Renshaw is toying with the field here! This is short and very wide, probably the slower ball and Renshaw read it early, swivelling and pulling comfortably over mid-wicket. Wrong ball for the field set

Nathan Ellis to Weatherald, FOUR, just wide of short third man! Was a near-perfect wide yorker and Weatherald sliced this uppishly. The man in the ring wasn't all that far away and tried his best with a dive across, but the ball just sneaked past him

Lamichhane to Renshaw, FOUR, Renshaw keeps playing one incredible shot after the other. This is a half-tracker alright but kept a tad low, was wider too but he managed to reach it. Crouched a tad and flat-batted it powerfully past the bowler. Once again, he's hit this very straight. No chance for long-on. That's fifty for Renshaw and it's been an eye-catching knock!! He'll want to go deeper and make this into a really big score

Thompson to Weatherald, FOUR, he's hit this very, very hard! Juicy full toss, Weatherald accepts the offering with glee and belts it hard to the deep mid-wicket fence. Went off the bat like a tracer bullet

Thompson to Renshaw, FOUR, excellent shot! Too full from Thompson and Renshaw launches this straight back over the bowler's head. He's hit the ball really straight and reaped the rewards for it. Not the start Thompson would have wanted
