Kuldeep Yadav to Saqib Mahmood, out Stumped!! Unnecessary bravado from Mahmood and England have been bowled out for 248. He just needed to turn over the strike for his senior partner, but he wants to have a piece of Kuldeep, pre-empts the charge, lets Kuldeep drop the length back on this leg-break, undone in the flight, swings across the line and KL has an easy stumping to his name. Saqib Mahmood st Rahul b Kuldeep Yadav 2(4)

Kuldeep Yadav to Jofra Archer, FOUR, beautifully played, flighted delivery on off, Archer gets down onto his knees and then sweeps it powerfully, into the gap wide of mid-wicket and races away to the ropes

W
Jadeja to Adil Rashid, out Bowled!! Cleaned up! RJ has been deceptively good today, kept it full and straight, always a risk in trying to sweep off the stumps - Rashid has badly misjudged the line here, wasn't full enough for the shot - drops in front of him, he's through with the sweep, the ball curves past the closed face of the bat and crashes into the middle-stump. RJ is chuffed and rightly so. Adil Rashid b Jadeja 8(16)

4
Hardik Pandya to Jofra Archer, FOUR, hammered, this is turning out to be an expensive over - slower ball on off, Archer clears his front-leg and then drills it back past the bowler for a boundary
43.4
6
Hardik Pandya to Jofra Archer, SIX, clobbered, this is poor bowling from Hardik, he's looking to bounce out Jofra Archer, but the lengths has been way too short - he doesn't have the pace, Archer has the height and he launches the pull into the deep square leg stands
43.3
4
Hardik Pandya to Jofra Archer, FOUR, clubbed, the slower bouncer from Hardik, but it sat up to be smacked - Jofra Archer gets on top of the bounce and hammers the pull to the right of long-on, one bounce and over the ropes

Jadeja to Jacob Bethell, out Lbw!! A celebappeal for LBW, RJ was already celebrating and he's nudged his captain into a review. Was the impact outside the line of off-stump? If so, was it spinning down leg with the angle? Jacob Bethell was shaping for a mighty slog-sweep and missed, was struck on the back-thigh. Has definitely struck him in front of the stumps and it looks to have straightened as well. No bat and UltraEdge confirms it. Onto ball-tracking: It's hitting the top of middle, three reds and Bethell has to go. Excellent review initiated by RJ and he has a wicket. Nicely bowled, drifted away from the left-hander and then straightened upon landing, was always dicey to try and sweep off that length and Bethell pays the ultimate price. Jacob Bethell lbw b Jadeja 51(64) [4s-3 6s-1]

Shami to Jacob Bethell, FOUR, crisp, lovely shot from Bethell, runs down the pitch, takes the momentum into the drive and finds the gap wide of cover for a boundary
40.3
Kuldeep Yadav to Adil Rashid, no run, they're falling in a heap, Adil Rashid has been given OUT caught behind and he's reviewed it. He wasn't so sure, had a chat with his partner and decides to go upstairs, but the appeal was apontaneous. Was dropped short and wide of off, he made room for the cut and played over the line of the ball. Did it graze the underedge? No, UltraEdge returns a flat line and the review is successful - NOT OUT

W
Shami to Brydon Carse, out Bowled!! An ugly hoick and Carse has been cleaned-up, looked like a cross-seam delivery from Shami, but the length wasn't all that short to be pulled, Carse was pinned in the crease, slogged across the line and the ball crashes into the top of middle-stump. England looking to be far too aggressive and are in danger of getting bowled out cheaply. Brydon Carse b Shami 10(18) [4s-1]

Shami to Brydon Carse, FOUR, top-edge and four, banged in short and Carse was in no position on the pull, late on the shot and the ball flew past KL's head, bouncing away to the ropes

Harshit Rana to Livingstone, out Caught by Rahul!! That is wild and so rash from Livingstone. The bumper first, then the slower ball next and Livingstone felt the itch to break-free. Just ran down the pitch to a shortish slower delivery, lost his shape and got a thick edge that flew to the keeper. Wicket number three for Harshit Rana. Livingstone c Rahul b Harshit Rana 5(10)

Harshit Rana to Jacob Bethell, FOUR, oh nicely steered away! Short of a length angling in, Bethell lets the ball come and just opens the bat face late to guide it fine to the third man fence

Axar to Buttler, out Caught by Hardik Pandya!! Oh dear! Buttler did all the hard-work and he's aghast with himself, was an innocous delivery and Axar can see the funny side to it, was trying to bowl quicker, ended up dragging it short and down leg, but it's the low bounce which caused Buttler's dismissal here, was early into the pull and spoons it off the bottom of the bat, lobs up into the safe hands of Hardik at short fine. Did all the hardwork, got himself to a fifty and has wasted his start. They've taken drinks at the fall of the wicket. Buttler c Hardik Pandya b Axar 52(67) [4s-4]

Hardik Pandya to Jacob Bethell, SIX, that's easy pickings and Bethell has broken the shackles at last, short and down leg, he gets inside the line and then pulls it fine, right onto the advertisement board at long leg

Jadeja to Buttler, FOUR, lovely, too full and sliding onto the pads - Buttler gets close to the ball, that allows him to play against the turn and he whips it past the diving mid-wicket fielder

Kuldeep Yadav to Buttler, FOUR, clubbed, too short and down leg, was the attempted wrong 'un - Buttler rocks back, picks the length early and then beats backward square leg with a powerful pull

Jadeja to Root, out Lbw!! Oh that's just clipping top of middle and leg but did look very out onfield. Jadeja gets Root for the fourth time in ODIs. You could sense how close it was with the way KL appealed. Wasn't just a howzatt, but was an "aaaaahahaaaa," That laugh meant he felt Root is a goner here and the finger went up. And Jadeja darts this at 100.7kph to beat Root on the back foot drive. Trapped him right in front of middle stump. Root was totally beaten for pace, was late on the shot and the length wasn't overly short either. Looks like it landed on the leather side and just skidded off the surface. Jadeja gives a crucial breakthrough because Root was in fine touch coming into the game. Root lbw b Jadeja 19(31) [4s-1]

Harshit Rana to Brook, out Caught by Rahul!! This man gets bounce. He has the knack of troubling and surprising batters with extra bounce. Brook thought it was the hard length coming at him down leg for a tickle to fine leg, but he saw it climb steep and couldn't get his hands out of the way. Off the glove and KL with some neat glove work behind rolling to the left and pouching it clean. This is now turning to be a sweet debut for Harshit Rana. Briliant comeback by him after leaking 37 runs in just two overs separated by a maiden over. Brook c Rahul b Harshit Rana 0(3)

W
Harshit Rana to Duckett, out Caught by Jaiswal!! This is a top edge, this is high. this is a tease and Jaiswal plucks it out of nowhere. He had to run a long way back from mid-wicket. he had to keep his eyes on the ball and look over his shoulders. He still had to maintain speed doing all this and then had to time the dive to perfection to pouch it with both hands. This is definitely a fielder's wicket. Outstanding piece of fielding sends the other set batter back too. Respite for Harshit Rana as he gets to better his figures with this short of length delivery that bounced more than Duckett anticipated. Top-edge on the pull, Jaiswal made the impossible look possible. Duckett c Jaiswal b Harshit Rana 32(29) [4s-6]

Hardik Pandya to Philip Salt, out Philip Salt Run Out!! 2 runs completed. Serious loss of signal between Salt and Duckett. Salt was racing back for the third, while Duckett was just glued at the non-striker's end. A wicket out of nowhere and Salt will be a furious man in the dressin room now. He played an outstanding cut shot to a ball that hardly had any width. Short of length ball on the stumps, Salt stayed leg-side and found the gap past backward point. Shreyas hunted it down with the slide just before the rope. Duckett wasn't keen on the third as he was heading to the danger end. But with the way Salt took off and almost crossed halfway on the third run, looks like an alert Duckett could have easily made it back for the third as well. Great throw on the bounce to KL from the fielder as well. Philip Salt run out (Shreyas Iyer/Rahul) 43(26) [4s-5 6s-3]

Axar to Duckett, FOUR, he loves the reverse sweep too! Full and in the slot, Duckett goes for the shot, goes hard, top-edgish shot but third man is up so no worries. Interesting to see some turn and the top surface being disturbed

Axar to Duckett, FOUR, this is lovely batting! LHB, left-armer turning it in. Duckett put his knee down and swept it away nicely behind square for four

Axar to Philip Salt, FOUR, nicely driven down the ground. Lovely straight-batted on-drive as Axar angles this full and in the slot, mid-on had no chance

Shami to Duckett, FOUR, oh edgeddd and Kuldeep makes a mess of it at third man. Duckett throws his hands at it with the cut shot, thick edge. Ball obviously will spin and Kuldeep overran to the left. Maybe you could give the benefit of doubt because of the second extravagant spin there right before Kuldeep

6
Harshit Rana to Philip Salt, SIX, and he's plays an authoritative pull shot to end the 26-run over! Short of a length and sitting up nicely, Salt swings across the line and nails it flat over mid-wicket. Fifty up for England in just the sixth over

Harshit Rana to Philip Salt, FOUR, now he's just dismissed this out of sight over mid-wicket. Length delivery, Salt puts his foot across and smashes it for four more. He's taking his KKR teammate down big time

Harshit Rana to Philip Salt, SIX, now he's put the knee down and slog-sweeps over backward square leg. Slower delivery just outside off stump, Salt manages to middle it fairly batter and the connection is healthy enough

Harshit Rana to Philip Salt, FOUR, driven uppishly from Salt. Rohit thought the cover fielder had a chance but it was well wide of him. Salt doesn't to give Harshit Rana the edge after the maiden last over

Harshit Rana to Philip Salt, SIX, now Salt moves across and plays an absolute slog. Top edge results and sails all the way. Nothing wrong from the bowler there. Length and just around the stumps, Salt plays a mighty heave and you can't do anything about those edges

Shami to Duckett, FOUR, in the airrrr and just over Hardik at mid-on! Did he misjudge that? Why was he so far in? Would have been straight down the throat had he been a yard back. Shami got this length delivery to nip back with some bounce, Duckett played a one-handed chip in the end. The ball just lobbed in the air, Hardik tried to grab it overhead with his right hand but missed. Oh yes, he ran in initially, which made the catch impossible

Shami to Duckett, FOUR, down the track to unsettle the length. Shami had no choice but to drop it into the wicket. Duckett backed himself for a slap, didn't middle the shot but hit the gap between mid-off and cover
2.2
4
Shami to Duckett, FOUR, brilliant drive! Duckett very mindful of Shami's ability to castle LHBs from round the wicket, so he doesn't go too hard at the drive. Plays a controlled off-side looking to just place it mainly. Mid-off is wide since Shami is bowlin from this angle and he had no chance of cutting it off

Harshit Rana to Philip Salt, FOUR, typical Salt! He forces the pace. Just moves across and flick-slogs this with the field restrictions on Clears square leg and easily gets the boundary. Harshit being predictable with his length and Salt read the play to perfection

Harshit Rana to Philip Salt, FOUR, again too short and allowing the batters so free their arms. He did get some extra bounce but Salt was always going hard at anything he can throw his hands at. Slapped past cover
