Bangladesh opt to bowl
Bangladesh have won the toss and have opted to field
13:15 Local Time, 07:15 GMT, 12:45 IST: A new-look Pakistan side was blown away in the opening game of the 3-match series. Nahid Rana breathed fire and ripped through the batting order, recording his maiden ODI five-wicket haul in the process. Pakistan’s batting line-up had plenty of inexperience, but they still had the likes of Mohammad Rizwan and Agha Salman - and even they succumbed to Rana’s hit-the-deck bowling as Pakistan were bundled out for their lowest total against Bangladesh. Tanzid Hasan then made short work of the modest target of 115. His unbeaten 67 guided the hosts over the line with almost 35 overs to spare. The scrutiny is firmly on Pakistan after a disappointing T20 World Cup and a thrashing in the first ODI. They need their young players to grab the opportunities on offer, while the senior pros must step up. Can they bounce back? Bangladesh are always a dangerous side at home and they showed exactly why in the first game. There’s a good balance to their bowling and batting, and they will start this game as favourites. Will they wrap up the series today? We’ll find out soon - the toss and team news are coming up..
