SUMMARY

An Anglo-Pakistani, Duncan Sharpe played 3 Tests for Pakistan in 1959. A capable batsman and a reliable wicket-keeper, Sharpe inaugurated his Test career with a fifty against Australia in Dacca. He played the remaining two Tests in that series but was totally ignored from thereon.

Sponsored by Barry Jarman (a former Aussie cricketer), Sharpe moved to Australia and went on to represent South Australia along with the former and Garry Sobers in the Sheffield Shield. Overall Sharpe's first class record reads 1531 runs in 37 matches at an average close to 30.
