SUMMARY

A medium pacer, who relied more on variations and cutters, Tom Cartwright was a county professional. He captured 1536 first-class wickets to go with 172 List-A wickets. Cartwright was also known to be a handy batsman lower down the order. His Test career, however, was restricted to just 5 caps. After his retirement, Cartwright turned to coaching. He was instrumental in shaping the early career of Ian Botham and was awarded MBE for his invaluable contribution to cricket in Wales.
