An exciting fast bowler in his early 20s, William Rourke is a tall, hit-the-deck bowler with an ability to pick wickets across all phases. O'Rourke made his ODI debut against Bangladesh in December 2023, but he was a lot more impressive in his Test debut which he made a few months later in home conditions. Against South Africa, the lanky pacer claimed 9 wickets in his first Test and bagged the Player of the Match award, making his Test debut a memorable one. A few months later, William O'Rourke showcased his class further in the subcontinent conditions as he picked up 8 wickets in the Test match at Galle which included the wickets of some experienced Sri Lankan batters.
