21:12 Local Time, 15:12 GMT, 20:42 IST: The target is 243 confirms Atif.
21:05 Local Time, 15:05 GMT, 20:35 IST: Atif Azam from the venue pings us this: It is expected to start at 21:35 and will be a 32-over game. We will get you the target shortly. The floodlights are all coming on. Can spot a few players warming up and going through their drills.
21:01 Local Time, 15:01 GMT, 20:31 IST: The groundstaff are now removing the covers slowly. Adrian Holdstock and Tanvir Ahmed are having a chat with Mike Hesson and Shaheen Shah as we see the visuals. All the lights have been switched off. Does that mean we won't get a game in? The umps now go inside. The super-soppers are in force. I see a floodlight lighting up. There seems to be no rain or lightning at the moment.
20:56 Local Time, 14:56 GMT, 20:26 IST: Live visuals show the umps taking to the groundstaff. The groundstaff points to his watch and suggests something to Adrian Holdstock. Still discussions ongoing. We will keep you posted with the latest.
20:38 Local Time, 14:38 GMT, 20:08 IST: Our man - Atif Azam from the venue with this update: "Latest is that it is reduced to a slight drizzle, but of hail."
20:32 Local Time, 14:32 GMT, 20:02 IST: Live visuals show the playing area under covers and few other covers on the outfield. Two light towers seem to be operational with the others switched off.
20:23 Local Time, 14:23 GMT, 19:53 IST: We have started losing overs now. Also there's lightning around still. No rain which is good news but a lot of work for the groundstaff to do if and when the lightning stops. Also the cut-off time for losing overs was 20:21 local.
19:39 Local Time, 13:39 GMT, 19:09 IST: It has started raining in Dhaka. The covers were already in place, so this is going probably going to be a lengthy delay. It's raining heavily at the moment. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.
19:19 Local Time, 13:19 GMT, 18:49 IST: The umpires are having a chat and they advice the players to walk off. It's not raining, but there's some thundering and lightning around. The umpires reckon it not's safe enough to continue playing as the players walk off. The groundstaff bring on the covers. Not sure how long this halt is going to be. Not raining at the moment, but the covers are in place as a precautionary measure. Stay tuned for all the further updates..
