That's it for now. We will be back with more cricket soon. Do join us then. For now it's bye bye.
Jordan Cox | Player of the Match: Yeah, I think it was quite tough against spin. So when the seamers came on, I think we looked to try and put them under pressure as best we could. But, you know, Rovman down the other end, I wasn't nervous at all. (on Jahangir) Yeah, wow, it's impressive. It's really impressive. He's been awesome this whole comp. We've been telling him to go after it, play aggressive, do your thing. And he's been doing that. It's been awesome to watch at the other end. It's made me be able to, and a lot of the other lads, just to tick over when he's going at such a rate. (what was the plan after Jahangir went?) Probably, I don't know. No, look, it was his option. So, you know, it was his option to take it down. He went for it, unfortunately he missed execution, but that's cricket, you know. Another day that goes to six and we're chuffed. But, no, it's just about taking it on your shoulders and taking, don't leave it to the next man, basically.
Mohammad Nabi | Dubai Capitals captain: Yeah, it's good news. Tough condition to chase in this kind of the pitch, but Shayan and Cox played really well on this kind of surface. Yes, like we already lost this kind of match against MI. And yes, still that scenario is on in my mind as well, but still it's that 19th over helped us a lot. Yeah, bowlers bowled really well. Especially Haider bowled really well. And he's got two wickets as well. Spinners bowled really well.
Tim Southee | Sharjah Warriorz captain: Yeah, we got ourselves right back into it. Obviously my effort towards the end there was probably the defining moment, but I think the fire we showed to get ourselves to a score in the first innings, and then I think with the ball we were able to keep taking wickets throughout, push it deep and take it to the last over outside of that 19th over, we would have been in with a chance. Yeah, I think the nature of the wickets is keeping both sides in it for a long period of time, but yeah, it's great to see close games. We've been on the wrong side probably too many, another one tonight. (on their next game) Yeah, still it's not over. We've got one game left, on the 26th if we win that, then we give ourselves a chance, but then we probably have to rely on other teams as well.
21:53 Local Time, 17:53 GMT, 23:23 IST:The Capitals now book their spot in the top four. It wasn't an easy chase and credit to Jahangir and Jordan Cox for their knocks. Jahangir continued his good run and notched up another fifty while Cox smashed four successive fours in the penultimate over to make things easier when 21 was needed off 12. Both Jahangir and Cox got fifties and helped Capitals seal their berth in the playoffs. The Warriorz fought with the total they had on the board and another spinner would have been ideal in this game. Instead their skipper Southee went for 40 in his 3 overs and that proved very costly. Stay tuned for the post-match stuff...
