There is a good layer of grass. This can have variable bounce. Tennis ball like bounce. Sri Lanka are playing what's required. Won't change over the course of 40 overs. Don't think it would crumble. -- Pitch report
Yasim Murtaza:To be honest, we did well against Bangladesh. There is one change. We talk about winning but it is important to have a good work ethic. Our coach says we need to take care of the work ethic, results will take care of themselves. We have a few things to work on.
Charith Asalanka: Just looks decent. We want to chase. One change. Theekshana comes in for Pathirana. Really happy with the performance. Almost perfect game for us. Just want to keep going. We cant underestimate any team specially in the shorter formats. We need to do the basics right.
Sri Lanka have won the toss and have opted to field
17:30 Local Time, 13:30 GMT, 19:00 IST: Hello and welcome to game 8 of the Asia Cup. It is Sri Lanka taking on Hong Kong. A couple of points for the Lankan team will take them closer to the Super four. They routed Bangladesh with ease and a comfortable win against Hong Kong is a realistic idea. But then the shortest format throws ugly spanners at you when you least expect it to. Hong Kong have been beaten twice. But they showed a far improved performance against Bangladesh after being annihilated by Afghanistan. They would want to sign off on a good note here. And a win against the Lankans would be historical. Sri Lanka are far more potent but as mentioned above, T20s can be a wild wild ride at times. Toss and sheets in a while.
