PLAYER OF THE MATCH
That's all from today's first game. With this win, DSG are still alive but they will be knocked out if JSK win their match against PC which starts in less than an hour. Don't miss the action there. See you!
Markram | POTM and DSG captain: Quite late in the comp now which is the disappointing part. Gives us a glimmer of hope I guess. When we had a look at it earlier, we felt it wasn't going to be the flattest wicket. Expected it to be tacky and stoppy which it was. Fortunately could get a few away at the end and we got to a nice score. Nice to put a full game of cricket together to be honest. Great bunch of guys. Have let ourselves down (earlier in the comp). All we can do as a squad is say thanks and appreciating them turning up day in and day out. Not the ideal comp for us and obviously would've liked to have played better. But appreciate the love and support.
Miller | PR captain: Probably 140 (what would he have been happy chasing?). Obviously dropping Aiden at the back end and one big over pushed it to 190. He's great on the eye and just sit back and enjoy the class of what he possesses. Was a great knock. This is an important phase of the competition. It's about getting back to the drawing board. One of those games where we just weren't there energy wise.
16:30 Local Time, 14:30 GMT, 20:00 IST: Finally DSG break their duck at home in their last league game. They do so in style, winning with a bonus point and keeping their playoff hopes alive. Aiden Markram played a blinder on a challenging pitch to lead the way. His 108 off just 58 balls ensured the Super Giants posted a formidable score and it didn't take long during the run chase to realise how difficult chasing 190 was going to be. The ball was holding, gripping and turning, and Harmer made the batters dance to his tunes. Him and Narine gave away just 31 off their 8 overs while picking up 3 wickets to squash Royals' efforts and none of them got going with the bat until Bjorn Fortuin struck a few blows lower down the order when the game was gone.

Gerald Coetzee to Fortuin, 1 run, hammered back by Fortuin and it hits Coetzee on his foot. He's down on the floor in pain. Hopefully it's not too bad and he'll be fine. The DSG players congratulate each other on a job well done as they keep themselves alive in this tournament

Gerald Coetzee to Ottneil Baartman, out Lbw!! Review taken after being given out LBW! A cracking yorker that pins him on the toes and would've crashed into the leg stump. Baartman has to go for a golden duck. Ottneil Baartman lbw b Gerald Coetzee 0(1)

Kwena Maphaka to Fortuin, wide, short ball down leg, Fortuin walks across, tries pull and misses. Klaasen isn't happy that it's called a wide because he believes it would've struck the batter had he not moved
