PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Brisbane Heat move up to the fifth spot with this win. 4 wins and 4 losses for them. All the wins have come at home. While their next fixture is against the defending champions in Hobart, their last group stage match will be at the Gabba. The'll be confident of progressing to the next round. Sydney Thunder, on the other hand, have now lost five matches on the bounce even though David Warner has top-scored in the last three innings (81, 67* and 130). They'll look to spoil the other teams' party in their remaining games. That's it from this game. The Melbourne derby has already started. See you there..
Usman Khawaja | Player of the Match: Look, I just love batting. It's a packed-out crowd. I love the Gabba. I missed the Test match here, which was really disappointing. But at least I get to play in front of the Heat fans, so I'm really happy. I was just batting. I got a couple of nice ones away early and I got the feel. Once I got that, I was good. That's the hardest thing. You're used to playing Test match cricket along the ground, but when I hit that one six, I was like, "Okay, that's what it feels like to hit the fast bowler back over his head for a six." After that, I started running really well. A big game next game, obviously, so we'll try and win that. But even if we don't, the last game is a big one. It's sold out. All these fans will be out there. I can't wait. It'll be a lot of fun. (Will Neser be called?) Definitely, I'll be dragging him by the collar.
18:11 Local Time, 08:11 GMT, 13:41 IST: A comprehensive win for Brisbane Heat. After restricting their opponents to 180 on a good batting deck, Jack Wildermuth got the home team off to a flier. He showed his hitting prowess in the powerplay with a quickfire 39. Green bowled a couple of tight overs and had McSweeney caught in the deep. Matt Renshaw joined Usman Khawaja and they scored at a good tempo finding boundaries at regular intervals. They stitched a 93-run stand for the third wicket and Khawaja went past fifty in the process. The Thunder failed to exert any sort of pressure on the home team. The Heat captain fell with his team needing just 5 more to win and Bryant applied the finishing touches with a six as the hosts cruised home with 22 balls to spare.

Daniel Sams to Max Bryant, SIX, 132.8kph, short-pitched delivery, Bryant finishes in style. Stays back and uses the bowler's pace to his advantage as he pulls it handsomely over fine leg. Big roar from the Gabba crowd as Brisbane Heat win by 7 wickets

Daniel Sams to Matt Renshaw, leg byes, 1 run, 132.2kph, high full toss, a shuffling Renshaw heaves and misses. The ball rolls to backward square leg off his thigh. There's an appeal for lbw and the Thunder have actually reviewed it. Snicko confirms no inside edge. Over to ball-tracking and that's missing leg. Review lost
