Chris Jordan | Player of the Match: Slight change today. We played one extra batter, so someone had to step up in the powerplay and try to fill the role, and my name got called. Great bounce back. We were disappointed not just with the way we got beat (in the last game), but more with our non-negotiables, our attitudes in the field and those kinds of things, so it was important that we put that right tonight. I try my best and pride myself on keeping my body in as good order as possible so I can go long on to long on, bowl my four overs and try to smack a few out of the court when I get the chance. Long may it continue. I’m not seeing summer yet, but hopefully it can come in the next few days.

Exactly the kind of wins that would boost your confidence levels, along with the NRR of course. Behrendorff started off with a wicket first ball, but Nikhil Chaudhary made his intentions clear from ball one. A hat-trick of boundaries to kickstart his innings and went onto compile a 29-ball fifty, building a near 100-run stand with McDermott in the process. That partnership all but sealed the game for the Hurricances. The hosts just didn't have enough runs on the board and this loss takes them to the penultimate spot on the points table.
