So a winning start to Bangladesh who continue their good run after winning the T20I series in Sri Lanka recently. In these conditions, they will be a hard side to beat. Pakistan need to regroup and come back stronger. We will be back for the 2nd game of the series on 22nd July. Do join us then. For now it's bye bye from all of us here.
Litton Das: We know about the wicket, because we played lots of cricket here in Mirpur. It's not an easy pitch to bat. The way we batted is good. The 2nd innings the ball comes on nicely, probably due to the dew. We bowled well and took early wickets. Someday you will catch extraordinary, someday even good players can drop. We know how Fizz can execute in Mirpur. Sakib and Taskin bowled well too. That's a good sign - if you saw the last couple of T20Is, the top 4 batted long and gave runs. Hridoy is more experienced now and understands cricket really well and Emon batted well.
Parvez Hossain Emon | Player of the Match: Happy as the team won. We stayed positive and looked for scoring balls. When I hit sixes, I enjoyed it.
Salman Ali Agha: It was not enough runs. We started well but we kept on losing wickets. We will sit down and talk about and next game we will have to be better. Whenever you come to Bangladesh, you expect these kind of pitches. In Bangladesh you hardly get good pitches. We had to rotate the strike more. The bowlers bowled well, when you are defending 110, there is no margin for error. That's how T20 goes - we have to keep improving and wins and losses come with that.
21:22 Local Time, 15:22 GMT, 20:52 IST: Convincing win for Bangladesh on a tricky pitch. The bowlers set it up with a fine bowling performance and the batters led by Parvez Hossain Emon finished it off. It did not start well as Salman Mirza struck twice in two overs to get Pakistan back into the game. But Emon was joined by Hridoy and the duo attacked the bowling at will. That counter-attack made the chase easier and Emon was there at the end to see it through. Not often do you see Bangladesh win over Pakistan but this was a team performance. Pakistan were rusty and Mohammad Haris had a horror day behind the stumps as he dropped two simple catches. Only the debutant Mirza impressed. Stay tuned for the post-match stuff...

Length delivery just outside off, Parvez Hossain Emon makes room and punches, the thin snick is fumbled by Haris who tried to take it behind him on the 2nd attempt, but the ball falls to ground. Sloppy stuff. 2nd catch Haris has dropped today

Abrar Ahmed to Parvez Hossain Emon, no run, the bounce saves Parvez Hossain Emon. He goes for a big slogsweep to a tossed up delivery on the stumps, misses, hit on the body, given out LBW after a big appeal, Emon reviews immediately and ball-tracking shows it to be going over the stumps. The review helps Emon out
Given out LBW. Parvez Hossain Emon though reviews immediately. Hit on the body. No bat as UltraEdge shows. Is it bouncing too high? Yes. Too high.

Abrar Ahmed [3.0-0-18-0] is back into the attack
Faheem Ashraf to Parvez Hossain Emon, FOUR, this bowling into the pitch is not working. It's short of length just outside off, Parvez Hossain Emon gets forward and pulls flat over mid-wicket, deep mid-wicket runs to his right but can't get there - 19 off the over and Bangladesh are almost there
Faheem Ashraf to Parvez Hossain Emon, SIX, 50 for Parvez Hossain Emon. He has played well. A slower-ball off-cutter on middle, Emon goes on the back foot and pulls high, just clears the leaping deep mid-wicket fielder on the fence, raises his bat to acknowledge the applause
