Jacob Duffy: It was a good time to bowl, nice conditions to bowl in and that time of day when the batters have got nothing to gain and we have everything to gain, so it's cool to get a couple there. (On the lbw review to dismiss Phillip) I couldn't believe it wasn't given to be honest. Mitchie's got quite a bit of sun today too, so I was hoping to get a little bit from him. I had a couple of shockers last week where I probably pushed Tommy into doing it, so I think he's a little bit hesitant. (On getting the lead) Any time you get a lead I think it's not too bad. There might be a couple of guys a bit gutted who got the start but couldn't quite kick on. A 80-90 lead and to get them two down already, so I think I'd be happy with that. I thought I was fine going into it yesterday, was probably a little bit flat in the first spell, but it's like riding a bike. You get back into it and it's a little easier going again. (On Rae) He's good to watch, you put him on telly and I think the viewers will come watching, so he's awesome to watch with the ball and bat. (On the pitch) Historically, it gets better. There's enough in it. There's good balls in it, that's for sure, so it's just about doing it for long enough and things will get better.
18:32 Local Time, 05:32 GMT, 11:02 IST -- Stumps, Day 2: West Indies have not survived the tricky little period and have lost a couple of wickets. It was important for them to come unscathed in that period but Campbell misjudged one from Rae and the ploy to send Phillip as a nightwatchman didn't work out. They still trail by 41 runs and have 8 wickets in hand. The day belonged to New Zealand. Devon Conway’s fifty in the morning ensured the West Indies's bowlers were kept at bay. The visitors did respond well after lunch, removing Rachin and Conway in quick succession, but debutant Mitchell Hay kept the innings moving. His composed half-century, along with useful contributions from the lower order, pushed New Zealand to a 73-run lead. Rae and Duffy then struck late and strengthened New Zealand’s grip on the Test. Can the West Indies show the same grit and character they displayed in the second innings of the first Test? We’ll find out tomorrow. Goodbye for now..

Jacob Duffy to Anderson Phillip, out Lbw!! Excellent review! Latham had a word with Hay and Duffy. The latter said, "I could see off-stump". He was right and the skipper got it spot on. The nightwatchman does not last long. Phillip goes for a 3-ball duck. The way he played the last ball suggested this was on the cards. Phillip was reluctant to come forward, stayed rooted to the crease and tried to defend a full delivery, the ball straightens to beat the outside edge and hits him on the back pad. The impact was the only thing that could have saved Phillip but ball-tracking showed it to be in-line and hitting the off-stump. Duffy is pumped and New Zealand have their tails up now.
