Game number 29 has ended and we have one more league game before the play-offs. SFU face LAKR. SFU with a win can confirm a top two slot and would be looking to go all-out in their attack. Nothing has gone right for LAKR and they will be playing for pride. The play-offs kick-start in a couple of days and it promises to be enthralling as well. We will look forward to your company then. Bye bye for now.
Glenn Maxwell: Nice to be bowling. Missed three games because of my finger injury. My bowling gives us balance and takes the load off. The sole goal was to be in top two. The competition was tight this year. The performance was pleasing. The players just assessed the conditions and did well. We made sure the run-rate never went out of hand. Exploited a little bit of our batting. I think we should enjoy the moment. Don't lose sight of what we have done.
Nic Pooran: This game was important for Washington. Was a good chance for the players who hadn't gotten a chance. The result didn't go in our favour. But the boys got a game. Qualifying to the top four was our major goal. It is a different competition going into the play-offs. We are looking forward to that challenge.
18:44 Local Time, 22:44 GMT, 04:14 IST: MINY would be disappointed with the loss. They just put up a no show. But they have made it to the top four as well. WAF are elated ofcourse thanks to the big win. They have booked one of the top two slots and will have one extra shot at glory if they stumble on the first one. MINY never put up enough runs. And that really handicapped them. They made plenty of changes trying to give their reserve players a chance but that ploy didn't quite work well for them. WAF had some hiccups but they kept their nerves to chase it down. Gous anchored the innings and batted with aplomb to track the target down.
Fabian Allen to Gous, 1 run, dropped short, outside off, punched down to deep cover for a single. That's the winning run! They win by 6 wickets with 3 overs to spare. Comfortable win for the WAF side. They have secured a top two slot for themselves

Fabian Allen to Phillips, no run, pats the ball down into the off-side and finds cover
Fabian Allen to Phillips, 2 runs, and a tough chance. Phillips dances down to launch it. Gets it off the cue-end of the bat and the man at long-on fails to get there and it landed just short
Fabian Allen [1.0-0-8-1] is back into the attack
Tristan Luus to Gous, FOUR, gets the gap on the off-side and Gous moves into the 40s. Was a fuller length delivery, outside off, Gous gets a stride out and lofts the ball on the up and wide of the man at mid-off for a four
Tristan Luus to Gous, no run, on a length, angled in, Gous looks to pat it away and run but gets it off the inside edge on to the on-side
